Elijah (Fri, Oct 3)

I rushed to the hospital to get Elisabeth examined, since that bitch, Charlotte, decided to become physically violent this time. I swear, I could've killed her on spot, but my priority at that moment was Elisabeth.

About an hour had passed of me waiting outside the doctor's office, anxiously checking the time every second. Suddenly, the doctor opened the door and came towards me.

"It seems the girl has many bruises on her stomach, as well as her right leg, is bleeding. Her condition is pretty bad, but she won't need to be held at the hospital. She just needs some rest, and maybe a few painkillers to ease the pain. You may take her back home now, sir", he said. I thanked him and picked Elisabeth up. She was still unconscious, probably due to the pain. It hurt me to see her in this condition. She hadn't done anything to deserve this. But there was only one thing I was certain of; Charlotte would pay for what she did to Elisabeth.

That night Elisabeth stayed over at my house, as she probably would for the entire weekend. Her condition was pretty bad, and I didn't feel like leaving her side. Her parents were okay with that, although they were worried about her health, too. Who wasn't, though? When I told Kate, she was speechless. She was so frustrated with Charlotte. Kate and I kept in contact that entire night. Elisabeth didn't wake up until after 12:00 am.

"Hey...", she said and tried to stand up, but immediately groaned in pain. I rushed to help her lie back down.

"Maybe it's best you just rest. You can have my bed tonight, I will sleep on the couch", I said, remembering the night of the party. "Well, here's where you'll sleep tonight. I will try to find another place to sleep, so I don't bother you as much". I'd said something very similar to this, so I did in fact expect a similar answer to the one on that day.

"Please, stay...I'd hate to be alone", and just like that, I turned around and rushed to hug her.

"I got so worried. I found you on the cold ground, in pain, being beaten up by that bitch. It broke my heart, it really did. I'm so happy to see you awake right now. I'm so sorry you had to deal with her all alone. I should've been there for you", I said, tears running down my face. She slowly managed to put her arms around me and started stroking my hair.

"It's okay...you were in class. You couldn't have known. I should've texted you. I'm sorry...", I could feel her crying this time, too. I didn't want to break the hug, but it was late, and I was sure Elisabeth needed the extra rest.

"How 'bout we go to sleep for now, and talk about this tomorrow?", I asked, breaking the hug and looking at her. She nodded in agreement, and so I helped lie back down since she was in pain. "Goodnight, pretty one", I said, kissing her forehead and turning to face the other side of the room.

"Goodnight, handsome one", she said, getting herself closer to me and wrapping her arms around me. And just like that, we fell asleep...
