Elijah (Mon, 6 Oct)

Another week of school, for me at least. Unfortunately, Elisabeth couldn't come due to her condition, so she was asked to take a few days off from school. When they asked her why she just said that she was feeling ill. She was too afraid to tell them the truth, afraid they wouldn't believe her.

'This is my time...', I thought to myself as I was about to go into the principal's office. I knocked on the door and almost immediately got a response, allowing me to go inside. "Good morning. I wanted to talk to you about Elisabeth's condition...I'd like to tell you the real reason why she won't be attending school for a few days", was all that I could say at that moment. I just wanted to be over with this.

I walked out of the school with pride in my eyes, knowing I had brought justice to Elisabeth and this incident. While walking out the school gates, I noticed Charlotte chatting on the phone. She sounded...oddly concerned. She noticed I was close, and she immediately hung up to come up to me.

"I can't believe that you told the principal about this! You no longer have my respect! I hate you, I fucking hate you! You destroyed my reputation and everything I had in this school", she said, speaking to me with annoyance in her attitude.

"Well, same goes to you. You thought you could hit Elisabeth like that and get away with it?! Who do you think I am? One of your stupid puppets that you can do anything with? I don't know who the fuck put that shit in your head, but you better get one thing; I was never, and I will never be one. of. your. toys. Understood? Now get lost! Before I cause you more trouble", I said, so much hatred and anger coming out of me. I wanted to kill her. I couldn't bear looking at her. She had done enough with her stupid threats and acting like everyone was her puppet. She quickly grabbed her phone and ordered her father to drive her home that day. As if she couldn't be nicer to him...Patrick soon came out of the school gates, and we both went to the car to get back home.

It was oddly quiet today, considering Elisabeth had returned home as no one would be here to take care of her. But for some reason, I didn't hear Lucy, either. She was supposed to be home by now. Her school wasn't that from here, about 5 minutes on foot. I was a little worried, so I decided to look for her in the rooms upstairs, while Patrick was searching for her downstairs.

"Did you find her?", he asked a few minutes later.

"No...Where could she have gone?", I asked, not sure what could've happened. Then, it finally hit him. "Hey! Look at the dinner table", I said, having a small thought of what could've happened.

"How the hell could she be on the dinner table?", he asked, and then stopped talking, as he found a letter on it.

I'm going to go to Elisabeth's house to keep her company. We'll be waiting for you.

P.S. I am certain you'll be searching for me either you find this or not, so I am not expecting to really see you there.

"So she now thinks we're dumb?", Patrick said in shock, which made me laugh. She did often see us as dummies, that was true. There were in fact many times where she'd start teasing us and calling us dummies during dinner or when there were people over. We were used to it, though, and no longer took it personally.

"Who knows!", I said, taking my keys and leaving the house in an instant, to which Patrick followed.

"Okay, okay. I got it. I'm the loser here", Elisabeth said, having not won a single round in UNO. I looked at her, sensing that she hadn't really taken it personally.

"Let me bring the hat!", Lucy said, leaving us alone for a little. I put my hand over Elisabeth's arms, looking at her with concern.

"Are you okay? Are your bruises getting any better?", I whispered, not wanting to make a huge deal out of it. She moved her head no, and that's when I got more concerned. Just yesterday she had made so much progress regarding her walking, and so hearing that from her worried me.

"If we're gonna discuss this, I think we should discuss it somewhere more private...", she said, holding onto me to get herself to stand up.

"Heyy, I brought the hat...Where are you two going?", Lucy asked, confused to as why we were moving towards Elisabeth's room.

"We...we'd like to have a conversation if that's okay", I said, sounding as serious as I could. Lucy didn't reply, a sign that showed she understood it was for a serious matter.

Elisabeth locked the door and I helped her sit on the bed. She looked at me, her eyes red and puffy, tears slowly running down her cheeks.

"Charlotte...she...she found my Instagram account and she...she messaged me some really nasty things...she said I was the reason she was expelled from school for a month, and she also threatened to hurt me, even more, the moment she'd see me, no matter the place...I blocked her, but it still scares me...", I put my arm around her shoulder, slowly rubbing her arm, and letting her rest her head on my shoulder. Her tears were running down like waterfalls. I could hear her try to sob quietly so the rest don't hear her and get worried. "Thank you...for everything you've done for me. I appreciate it, I-I really do...", she said, trying to turn herself to face me, not caring if her bruisers would hurt her or not. All she wanted, all she needed at that moment, was some support. And I was there for her, no matter what.
