Oliver's POV
I didn't know I could survive this long without Macy. But knowing she was somewhere looking at the same sky, that was enough for me to be motivated to live.
I have been meeting Reagan more often lately. Reagan signed a contract with a steel company however, his shipping containers had a problem so he asked me to takeover the contract. But out of respect I told him to keep it and instead I let him use some of my unused containers overseas. It was hardwork as I had to have them sent to a different port. But it all worked out in the end.
Every day, Loise kept spamming my phone with baby photos. Since her friend had given birth months ago, my phone has accumulated lots of baby photos.
Her friend had fraternal twins. I actually got annoyed at first but I am got used to it. Almost every day I receive photo's of baby bums and baby vomit.
Sometimes she sents me photos of dirty diapers. It makes me feel sick.
Yesterday Loise sent me a video with the boy standing up. I think the children are almost one year old.
Loise was more hands on than the children's mother by the looks of it! She babysits them a lot of times as the mother apparently has to work. Well, no one told her to get screwed and get pregnant.
On the other hand, I'm happy Loise found herself some good friends. She looks really happy.
Loise decided to live overseas 5 years ago. Because she wanted to live away from our parents. Her childhood is sad. Both our parents travelled a lot when we were younger so we mostly spent our summer holidays with our nanny. Even until we were teenagers, we seldom seen our parents.
I understand Loise. It's probably one of the reasons why she is acting like this with her friend's babies because she has never experienced having our parents look after her and care for her.
Loise is an art graduate. But she hasn't really accomplished much until she learned to design clothes. Now she has her own clothing line that's based overseas.
Macy's POV
Time has gone quick! In no time, I will have two 1 year olds. I have also been dreading when that day comes.
I promised my dad that we would celebrate my children's birthday party back home. And dad will also be announcing me becoming the vice chairman of Snider shipping. Which means, I have to go home.
I am grateful for Adrian. I have learned so much things from him that I could use when I start my new position.
My mom kept nagging me to go home a few weeks earlier as well because she misses Basti and Vivi... But I wasn't ready to face my new reality.
I told dad that I don't want anyone knowing that we were coming. I didn't want my kids' to get photographed. I didn't want my kids face on any social media platforms or in the news. And mostly, I didn't want Oliver to know.
Adrian will also be coming but he would be flying later than us as he needs to make arrangements as well. I asked him to stay for at least 3-6 months until I settled in my VP position. Dad was actually supportive of this. He even offered Adrian to live at our house which he declined because he apparently doesn't want to "sleep" with the boss. Hahaha he is hilarous!
While Loise was flying with us which is very handy because I wouldn't know how to cope flying alone with 2 kids.
Throughout my journey, Loise and Adrian has been my constant. I am forever grateful.
My most dreaded day came as quick as I didn't want it to be.
We are due to fly in a couple of hours. Our flight is at night so Basti and Vivi would just sleep. It is their first flight and it's 10 hours.
My dad has already arranged for someone to pick us up at the airport early in the morning.
We are at the airport lounge. My kids were busy with their toys while me and Loise were having coffee.
"Are you sure you don't want to stay with us?" I asked her.
"Nah. My parents are expecting me and they haven't seen me for awhile." She answered.
"How many siblings did you say you had?" I asked just to keep the conversation going.
"I have a brother. It's just us two."
"Hmm... I actually wished I had a sibling as well. It would have been nice to have someone."
We finished our coffee just in time for our flight. Someone approached us and said that the jet is ready.
We went through the immigration and security checks since we are crossing to another country. My kids has been really good.
"Look mommy!!! Efflane effllane!!!!" Basti excitedly exclaimed while Vivi was asleep in my arms.
"Yes baby that's an airplane."
A stewardess helped us with our luggage. I sat with Vivi asleep on my lap while Basti sat on a chair beside Loise.
It's going to be a long night...
I heard Vivi cry.
"What's wrong baby?" I sweetly asked while I patted her back.
"Tummy awwwiiieee..."
I didn't wake her up to eat ealier so she must be hungry. So, I changed her nappy first and I gave her milk. She fell asleep again after.
I checked Basti. He was asleep cuddling Loise. He loves his aunty Loise because she spoils him so much.
I tried to sleep as well.
I heard the captain announced that we are almost landing. I woke Vivi and changed her nappy and asked her if she wanted to eat. I also changed Basti's nappy and gave him his favourite biscuit. I wasn't too concerned about breakfast. I'm sure mom has prepared food for us.
I was surprised to see dad waiting for us with his driver at the arrival. There were only few people as it was still 5 in the morning.
Dad kissed me and he quickly took Vivi from arms and carried her. Lois on the other hand was already gone as someone had already picked her up. I held Basti's hand walking towards the car.
I was surprised to see the BMW x7.
"Nice car dad!" I told him.
"Bought it for the kids. We need a bigger car that could fit all of us."
I was touched with my dad's gesture. Still looking after me and my kids after all the hard times I gave him.
I secured Vivi and Basti in their carseats first before I sat in the car.
Dad sat on the passenger's seat while I was seating with Vivi and Basti on the second row.
The drive was quiet. I noticed nothing has changed. It was still the same like the last time I left.
My parent's house was in an estate that's 1 and a half hours drive away from the airport.
The drive was quiet. I was tired so I tried to close my eyes.
"Mommy, grapa house!!!" I heard Vivi squealed. I must have fallen asleep as I didn't realized that car had stopped and that we already had arrived.
Basti was asleep so I carried him while Vivi was with dad.
The driver carried our luggage straight to our rooms.
My mom welcomed us. She didn't even noticed me. She hurriedly carried Vivi and kissed Basti.
I could smell yummy food. I could hear my tummy growl.
"Give me Basti so you could eat breakfast." Dad offered. I put Basti on dad's lap. I went to the dining table.
How I missed eating in this house! They have prepared my favourite foods too. I could see mom and dad very happy with my children. I couldn't ask for more.
