Oliver's POV

Oliver had just finished dining with his company's visitors from Japan. He took them to an exclusive restaurant where only high-profile businessmen were allowed and able to afford. The restaurant served only its exclusive members and their visitors. The visitors had brought their spouses and partners, so Oliver was unable to take them to the after-dinner party.

Oliver checked his wristwatch and noticed that it was only 09:30 in the evening. It was too early to go to bed, he thought. So, he decided to go to his favourite bar whenever he visited Vegas. It was only a few meters' walk from where he currently was. He paid the bill and off he went to the bar.

Oliver didn't have to go through the normal entry where people had to fall in line. He went through another door where he didn't have to show any identification. He was, after all, a regular patron of the bar, and he knew one of the owners.

The elevator opened, and he was greeted with loud music and the intoxicating smell of cigarettes and alcohol. People started noticing him. Oliver always had this aura wherever he went that made people notice his presence straight away.

He made his way to the bar and found an empty bar stool. He sat there as a bartender wearing a black fitted t-shirt approached him.

Bartender: "Evening, sir! What can I get you for a drink?"

Oliver: "I'll have one original Mai Tai, please." Oliver answered while his eyes scanned the bar.

A woman approached him from behind. He was startled as he didn't see her coming.

Woman: "Hi... enjoying the night?" The woman smiled at Oliver. He looked at her from head to toe. Then he straight up told her, "sorry, but I'm not interested."

The woman smirked and said something, but Oliver was not interested in her banter. He continued drinking, and when his first glass was finished, he ordered another drink.

Oliver was preoccupied with his drink when a woman bumped into his right arm, almost spilling his drink. Luckily, he wasn't that drunk, so his reflexes were still working. His left hand managed to support his glass, or it would have spilled all over his shirt.

Oliver: "Watch it!!!" He yelled.

Woman: looking at him apologetically "I'm sorry, I got off-balanced. I may have had a drink or two." The woman answered with a giggle.

The woman was wearing a blue dress with a conservative front but a bareback. Oliver heard her order a martini. He looked at her face, and he thought that she looked familiar.

The bartender gave the woman her drink, and then she went back to the table where her companions were seated. Oliver ordered his third Mai Tai. He was deciding whether to stay for a few more drinks until he finds his companion for the night or to go to a different bar.

He was about to get up and go when the woman who bumped into him earlier caught his eyes again. He tried to focus on her face when he realized that he had seen her face somewhere. He was sure that he had not slept with this woman, but he knew that he had seen her.

He moved closer to the table where the woman was sitting, and that's when it hit him!

The odds were probably in his favour because this woman he was looking at was none other than the one and only Macy Izobel Snider. The elusive daughter of Reagan Snider, the owner of Snider Shipping, the company that had been a big hurdle for Crowne Inc to expand.

My, my, my... I didn't know that Reagan's daughter was a party girl. I had only seen her in the photos from the files my investigator had given me. No social media accounts. Never seen in the tabloids or magazines. And she did not show up at any social events. Oliver talking to himself.

What were the odds of me meeting her? And of all the places, it's in Vegas!

She is probably celebrating a birthday party, looking at the cake and with the other woman wearing a tiara. By the looks of it, Macy had already drunk more than she could handle.

I decided to stay at the bar and moved to a table. I was now sitting just a few steps away from Macy. I was interested in how this night would end up. I needed something so that once and for all, I could either take down Snider Shipping or acquire it. It had taken me years to gather a lot of information about the Sniders, but I hadn't had anything that I could use against them. Well, not until today at this very moment.

My mind was running at a speed I didn't know. I needed to do something. I needed something.

I was lost in deep thought when I didn't realize that Macy was already in front of me. She was with another girl, the one with the tiara.

Girl with Tiara: "Hi hottie!!! My cousin is curious to know your name..."

Oliver: smirking "What do I get if I tell you my name?"

Macy: laughing "You get to marry me!!!"

Girl with Tiara: "That's a good idea, cousin! You should get married here in Vegas."

The crowd started chanting, "Marry her! Marry her! Marry her!"

Macy: looking at Oliver with begging eyes "Marry me, please!!!! I'm filthy rich!"

Oliver: pausing for a moment, then giving in "Alright, let's get married."

Everyone was cheering and clapping. Even the girl with the tiara was so excited, she ended up giving Macy her tiara.

The bar where we were at was a part of a hotel, and in this particular hotel, they also had wedding chapels. It was weird, but it was Vegas.

We found the chapel, and before entering, there was a booth where you could buy wedding items like a veil, fake wedding rings, and a plastic wedding bouquet.

Before I could say anything, Macy was already wearing a veil and choosing her wedding ring.

Everything happened so fast. I didn't even know who paid for what. All that I could remember was that it was a fairy that married us.

I myself had already had more drinks than my body could tolerate. And obviously, Macy was all drunk too.

When the fairy told me to kiss the bride, she kissed me first. She gave me a peck on my lips. I had a mental laugh. What kind of a wedding kiss is a peck?! So, I held her face with both my hands, and as I was about to give her a proper wedding kiss, she started to gag, and then she vomited.

I helped her get cleaned, and then she passed out. I couldn't ask her or anyone about where she was staying because her friends and companions were already gone.
