Chapter 21

Writers note

So, I got injured at work 2 weeks ago. And since we are on lockdown, I was getting really depressed. So I started writing. This is my first time writing so thank you for taking the time to ready story.

Today, I went to see the physio. I was hoping I could go back to work as I am getting bored at home. Anyways, I was advised against going back to work this week. I was really disappointed. So, I'm getting one more week to rest.

And I'm getting 1 more week to write. It has been helping me to cope in the lockdown.

Macy's POV

Today is Saturday. Me, Loise and Adrian are going to the beach. I told Loise about Adrian coming and she was alright with it. She didn't really have choice because I have already invited Adrian. I technically can't uninvite him because that would be rude.

Adrian came nice and early because the beach was an hour away. I made Adrian a cup of coffee first before we left.

This country is really beautiful. The long drive is never boring. The landscapes are very unique, it feels like you are in a different world.

We arrived almost the same time as Loise. I introduced them to each other and they hit it off straight away. However though, Loise texted me.

Loise: Adrian is gay!!! My gay radar tells me so....🤪

Me: stop it!!! 🙊

Bulli beach is beautiful. The beach has no car access so you have to walk for at least 7 minutes from the car park to reach it. The shoreline is long and it's not very crowded. The water is clear and prestine. It has a lot of active marine life too. There are designated swimming areas so people won't swim in the corals.

Loise found a perfect place under a tree. So if ever it gets unbearably hot, we have a shade. We laid our beach towels on the sand. Adrian placed our cooler away from the sun. I brought fruits and crackers to munch.

I was already wearing my bathing suit under my dress for convenience. So I took my dress off. Adrian also removed his shirt while Loise was already wearing her 2 piece.

My phone vibrated.

1 messaged received.

Loise: he didn't look when you undressed. He is so gay!!!

I looked at Loise trying to tell her to stop the "gay texts".

It's not like I was interested with Adrian. He's good looking though but he is not my type. And I honestly don't want to be in any relationship right now.

Loise likes to surf so she spent most of her time surfing while I did a bit of running and of course I spent most of the time getting tanned. Adrian also did a bit of swimming. Around lunch time, we shared whatever food each of us has brought.

Adrian shared so many funny stories about Mrs. Gibbs. While I told them about me being a doctor. I learned that Loise was actually 2 years younger than me and she has mostly spent her life with her siblings because their parents were busy with their family business. Which I could relate.

Adrian also shared that he is not really from here. He is an immigrant. He started as an international student first then did his on the job training at my dad's company and worked until he became the general manager. And he is the same age as me.
