Chapter 25

Macy's POV

I called Loise straight away and told her to keep Vivi and Basti for a while. I told her about what just had happened and she was happy to keep them longer.

I'm sure the reporters and the paparazi's will be lining up outside our house again! This is the last thing that I really want to happen right now.

I tried contacting dad again. But no answer. It was already late when the kids had arrived. I was surprised to se Loise with them.

"We need to talk." Loise told me. I was hesitant because she was looking pretty serious.

I asked Basti and Vivi to go and see mom.

"Loise, I appreciate everything you do and everything you have done for me and my kids. I understand that you don't want to be a part of it when the situation becomes worse." I told Loise.

She then hugged me.

"Did it ever occur to you to ask for my family name?"

I was confused at what Loise just said.

"What do you mean?"

Loise then reminded me about the first time we met at broken hill. She reminded me about her story. About her parents  and everything.

I was still confused.

"I don't understand??? Why are you telling me this?"

Then Loise finally said, "My name is Elloise Evie Crowne and I have just learned 2 hours ago that you are my sister in law."

I just heard the worse joke of the century.

"And before you get angry, I want you to know that I didn't know that you were Oliver's wife. I don't want the media to twist the story that's why you are hearing it from me first. And I want you to know that I will always be on your side and I will always be your free spirited friend."

All I could do was pinch the bridge of my nose.

I can feel that Loise wanted me to answer.

I took a deep breath.

"Can we just get through Vivi and Basti's birthday? We can talk after. I have a lot in my plate right now." I told Loise.

She then said goodbye to the kids.

Loise's POV

I can't believe that after all the hardwork that I had done to have a peaceful life, I am suddenly in the middle of a storm.

It's Vivi and Basti's birthday party. And of course, my parents and Oliver wanted to come. I told them that I would try and ask Macy but I doubt that she would allow it.

The birthday party was going to be a public event which means there will be cameras and media people. If they saw my family attending the party it would be chaos.

I am totally with Macy on this!

But anyway, they still insisted so I still had to call Macy.

Macy: hi L.

Me: hi friend... I know you would say no but my family still wanted me to ask, can they attend the birthday party?

I heard Macy sighed.

Macy: Loise you know it's a public event...

Me: I know right?! I totally told them that!!! I am so with you on this...
