I Think We Accidentally Got Married (EDITING)

Chapter 29

Oliver's POV

I was dead tired and miserable by the time I got home. I will call John when I wake up. I showered and brushed my teeth and went to bed.

I closed my eyes but Macy's voice keeps playing inside my head.

"You know I loved you, right?!"

Over and over and over again.

I started getting migraine. I tried sleeping again. After all the tossing and turning, finally my body gave up and fell asleep.

I didn't want to wake up yet but my phone wouldn't stop vibrating. I forced to open my eyes. I checked, it was 11:31 in the morning and I have 28 missed calls. Most of them were from John, my secretary. There were 3 from Loise and a few voicemails.

F*ck! I dialed my voicemail.

"Hello sir, it is rather really urgent that you call me straight away."

All voicemails were from John. Who's been calling me since 8AM.

I also checked 1 text message.

Loise: I am taking the kids home with mom and dad. If you two won't start acting like adults, I swear I am going to take these kids with me back overseas and you won't ever see them again!!!!

Argh! How did I ended up with all this mess?

Then I remembered Macy.

Did she slept well? Did she had a bad hangover? I should have left her some panadol on her bedside table. I hope she feels better when she gets up. I hope she has a nice day.

After a few minutes of thinking about Macy. I decided to call John and asked  what was the problem.

John: hello sir.

Me: what's the matter John?

John: you really need to come to work sir. There was an incident overseas. There was a fire in one of the tankers. We are being sued for negligience and workers compensation.

I only slept in and then something bad happens! Damn it!

I quickly got up and changed. I didn't even think about having coffee first. I went to the office as fast as I could.

When I arrived, everyone was frantic. I immediately did a video conference. I found out that there was a faulty wire that caused the fire. How was I to know that, right!? That's the reason why I employed and pay people to make sure those stupid things don't happen!

I yelled out at everyone in the video conference. I had a bad night and I f*cking don't understand why people can't do their job properly!

And because people will make this a big issue, I need to fly overseas now to fix it personally! Great!

No one died but one apparently was heavily injured.

This is the reason why checking and rechecking is a part of the policies! Idiots!

I combed my hair both my hands in frustration.

How am I going to fix my own problems if I have to fly overseas. I sighed.

I decided to fly overseas in the afternoon. I just want to fix the issue quickly so when I come back I can concentrate on my personal issues.

Loise's POV

I woke up with the twins snuggled with me. I slowly stood up not to wake them. I was going to check Macy but I remember that Oliver was here last night so I went straight to the kitchen. I saw Mrs. Cowen cooking.
