Kelli's POV
"Why are we still here? I thought we were just going to talk to your parents and say we are dating and then we go home." Billy asked.
"Shhhh, Remember the bodyguards are here and they're suppose to report what happens tonight to my parents. They think we are going to eat here after they left." Olivia said.
"But why did they leave without eating?" Leo asked.
"Because they are busy busy people." Olivia replied.
"Oh my god, this restaurant is too expensive!" I whispered loudly, scanning through the menu.
"Obviously. It's one of the fanciest restaurant around here." Olivia scoffed. We ordered our food then 15 minutes later the waiter can holding our food.
"Awwww this fish is really small." Leo pouted looking down at his plate.
"I know. How can they call this a steak?" I said.
"You guys complain to much." Olivia scoffed. I tried cutting my steak but it was just too hard.
"Oh here. Let me cut that for you." Leo offered. He leaned over my side and started cutting my steak.
"Say aaaa" Leo ordered, holding up the fork with a piece of steak on it. I blushed and bit it off the fork.
"Get a room." Billy muttered.
"I think it's cute." Olivia chirped.
"Say aaaa" I chimed as I feed Leo his fish.
"Come on Billy, we have to make it convincing for the bodyguards." Olivia whined, tugging on Billy's sleeve. Leo halted from feeding me a steak piece.
"Hey Kelli....can I talk to you alone for a minute?" Leo asked.
"What would you need to say to her that you can't say in front of us?" Billy asked coldly. I glared at him; he's been quiet tonight except for his occasionally rude remarks.
"Sorry. it'll only be a minute." He smiled at Billy before he took my hand and led us away from the table. I couldn't help but turn red from his touch. It's getting harder and harder to think straight whenever I'm close to Leo. He looks amazing.
"I have to tell you something." he said seriously."
"What?" I asked.
"Well.... I think I heard Olivia's parents get confused when I said arranged marriage." He said.
"Wait. Are you saying that she lied about the arrange marriage?" I asked him.
"Well I don't actually know. I didn't hear it clearly but I swear they said arranged marriage in a confused way." He replied. Oh now I get it. This whole plan was just to hang out with Billy. She's very smart. Well whatever she's doing I'm totally cool with it because she just made me go out with Leo."
"Wait Leo. I think she was lying to get me and you together." I pitched. Not a complete lie but not all of it true.
"Oh....really?!" I saw Leo's ears get pink as he looked down on the floor.
"That's so nice of her." He said shyly.
"Yeah so we should just go along with it for the rest of the night." I suggested.
"Okay. I'm really glad that she through all this effort. Now I get to go on a date with the most prettiest girl in America." He said as I blushed.
"YOUR FOOD'S GETTING COLD!!!!" I hear Billy screaming across the restaurant.
"We should get back now." Leo said and I nodded. We both walked back to our table and sat down."Where are we going now?" I asked Olivia.
"I don't know. It's a surprise from my parents. she said as we walked up the hill.
"Wow" Leo breathed out when we finally got to the top. Up ahead was a huge ice rink filled with people gliding and spinning.
"Come on let's go!" Olivia squealed as she grabbed Billy's hand and ran up to the skate rentals booth. Leo and I followed them and got our skates after telling the lady our shoe sizes. Olivia quickly put on her skates like an expert and then helped Billy with his.
"Mine won't fit." I whined as I tried shoving my foot into the skate.
"Here let me help." Leo said loosening the shoelaces and gently placing my foot inside. He did it with the other foot while I unintentionally stared at him. Somehow the lights twinkling at him made him look even more enchanting and I couldn't help but to feel like a princess as my prince tied my last skate and used the railing of the ice rink to stand back up.
"Is this your first time skating?" Leo asked me smiling and holding out his hand.
"Yes" I answered taking his hand. He pulled me up to my feet and I quickly felt unbalanced on my weird shoes and fell forward. I instinctively wrapped my arms around Leo's neck while he grabbed me by the waist to stop me from falling.oh my god what did I just do? I looked up at Leo who was smiling at me. I awkwardly clears my throat and let go of him, using the rails for balance.
"Umm let's skate now." I said looking away from him.
"Alright but you might wanna take my hand since it your first time." Leo grinned at me.
"No I'm fine." I said taking my hand away from him when he tried to reach for it. We entered through the opening of the rail and as soon my feet hit the ice I stared slipping like crazy.
"AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH" I screamed as I started falling again. I quickly wrapped my arms around Leo's waist from the back and buried my face into his back.
"Kelli is something wrong?" Leo asked innocently turning his head.
"M-maybe hold your hand?" I asked politely.
"Absolutely!" He reached his hand from behind his back and I carefully grabbed it. He started skating slowly into the rink while I was behind him, holding his hand. I let him guide me around the circle laughing with each other along the way. He started quickening his pace and I was getting frightened. I grabbed both of his hands from behind him and safely slid on the ice as he started going even faster. My feet started loosing balance.
"Slow down!" I giggled.
"Is somebody a chicken?" Leo chortled back at me.
"Pshhh heck no" I snorted in response. Leo let go of one of my hands and pulled me up to his side forcing me to skate backwards.
"AHHHH LEO!!!" I yelled, flailing my legs in a million different directions. Leo laughed and pulled me in front of him, hugging me from behind. He lifted me off my feet and started spinning.
"AHHHH LEOOOOO!!!!!" I yelled while laughing, holding his arms around me. He laughed with me until he finally set me down in the ice.
"You're evil." I managed to say from all my heavy breathing.
"Am I really? Come on I need to show you something." Leo said, taking my hand again and carefully leading me to the edge of the rink.
"Isn't it pretty?" Leo asked me, leaning over the railing. The ice rink was on a tall hill so from this side you had an amazing view of the lights from the city buildings.
"It's gorgeous." I said in complete aww. I admired the view for a while until I slowly turn my head to see Leo staring at me. I felt my heart beating like crazy but I kept my eyes on his while he kept his on mine. He looked absolutely mesmerising under the dimmed twinkling of lights in the background. It's amazing to think that a few months ago that I was a quiet girl in the back who had a crush on the most popular guy in school. And now here I am, standing in front of my date and feeling like the luckiest person in the world.
"Are you two ready to go?" Olivia's voice finally broke through our eye contact and out of my thoughts. We both looked at her and nodded.
"You guys are awfully quiet ." Olivia snickered skating away from us towards the opening. I glanced at Billy, and for a split second I swore I caught a little emotion in his facial expression before he changed to his usual poker face. It was quick and barely noticeable but it was there.
