Chapter 27

Kelli's POV
"Can I talk to you for a second??" I heard Olivia say. I looked up from my desk to see her turning around from her seat to face Billy.
"Okay what do you want to talk about?" Billy replied. Olivia glanced at me and I quickly back down at my desk.
"Umm can we talk.....somewhere else?"
"It's either we talk her or don't talk at all." Billy said.
"Fine" Olivia said. There was a brief pause and then I heard.
"Billy... Will you go to the dance with me?" My eyes widened. I totally forgot about the dance on Friday. I haven't even decided if I wanted to go or not. I suddenly felt a weird feeling, like someone was staring at means I looked up at Billy.
"W-what." I blushed after feeling the weight of his gaze on me. I looked at Olivia nervously and saw her shooting daggers at me through her eyes. I quickly dropped my daze back on to the desk. Just pretend that never happened.
"No thanks, I don't really dance." Billy answered.
"Come on, I could teach you if you like." Olivia pouted.
"Don't go through the trouble. I think I'm busy that day anyways." Billy said.
"Okay." Olivia sighed, sounding discouraged. Billy want completely lying; he was a really terrible dancer. No doubt about that. As for the busy part...Well that was probably a lie. The bell indicating last periods end rung and I was extremely delighted to get out of school. I stuffed all of my things into my bag quickly and looked up to see Olivia and Leo still in the room talking. Olivia flipped her hair and giggled cutely and I started realising that this was not just a normal conversation. Anger quickly build inside as me as Leo cheerfully waved goodbye to her. He left the room and Olivia started walking to her desk until I stopped her.
"What the hell was that??!!!" I spat at her.
"what was what??" She blinked innocently.
"Don't play dumb. You were flirting with Leo!!!" I confronted.
"Well if you can flirt with Billy that means I can flirt with Leo" She scoffed.
"What??!! Since when have been flirting with Billy!!!!" I yelled.
"Oh please. The way you were staring at him like a few minutes ago? You so like him." She said.
"I DONT LIKE BILLY!!!! I LIKE LEO AND ONLY LEO!!!!" I yelled with anger. How dare she said the I liked Billy!!!!!! I hate him to death!!!!!!!"
"Oh yeah prove it. Let have a bet." Olivia suggested.
"Fine what you got??!!" I replied.
"Okay. Your not allowed to talk to Billy and I'm not allowed to talk to Leo by Friday. Deal Kelli??" She smirked.
"You're on!!!" I said. I left the classroom and headed out of the school to the front gates which was incredibly crowded. I struggled to get around everyone until a hand grabbed my wrist.
"There you are. What took you so long??!!!" Billy asked, still holding my wrist. I quickly jerked my wrist out of his grasp, which seemed to surprise him. I turned around and started walking not saying a word.
"H- hey Kelli??!" Billy stuttered behind me. Something in the back of my head was telling me that this was wrong. Incredibly wrong. His voice just wants me to turn around and apologise. But I'm not going to crack that easily.
"Kelli what's wrong??!!" Billy asked, spinning me around to face him. I glared at Billy and then roughly pushed him away, causing him to stumble back with the most hurt look on his face. I quickly turned the other way and ran away far from Billy.

The next day at school I became extremely proud of myself for avoiding Billy so smoothly. He didn't even get a chance to talk to me in class and I skipped eating at break with him and the boys. I was worried about my next class when I stepped into maths.
"Kelli!!" Billy instantly charged up to me.
"Are you okay??!! What's got into you??!!" I tried walking around him silently but he just pulled me back. God I wish I could yell at him to go away!!! Olivia would let me do that, wouldn't she??
"Good morning Billy and Kelli!! Leo greeted as he came into the class. He stopped in his tracks when he notice Billy's hand cupped around my wrist.
"Is...everything okay??" Leo asked.
"Everything's fine." I replied, smiling at him. He gave an unconvinced nod and slowly walked to his desk.
"What was that??!!! Why are you talking to everyone but me???!!!" Billy asked me. I just stared at him, trying not to give any message through my eyes in case if Olivia counted that as talking.
"Are you angry at me???!!!" He asked, his grip on my wrist went tighter and tighter. I tried pulling away but it was no use.
"Kelli you're ignoring your own childhood friend!!!!" I heard Olivia's voice slither passed my ear.
"Well that's pretty rude of you. You should treat Bill better." I turned around and saw her trying to hide her smile. She was so enjoying this. I rolled my eyes, I guess I should just play along.
"So what if I am, I can treat him the I want to treat him!!!!!" I snapped at Olivia. And with that I freed my wrist form Billy's grasp and shoved Olivia forward, causing her to bump into Billy's chest. Billy looked startled but Olivia gave me a I owe you one smile. I walked away from them, my ears at catching an utterance from Olivia's mouth.
"Wow that Kelli. She's a real jerk to you. You should give up talking to her."
"Hey is everything okay?" Leo asked me as I sat down.
"Everything's great." I mumbled grumpily, keeping my eyes on the two.
