ALWAYS YOUR ALLY

I was just a simple girl that time. Palaging mag-isa, walang kaibigan. Palaging target ng mga bully. Mahina sa mata ng lahat. A literal Pushover for them.

But that fact changed when I met you. Palagi mo akong pinagtatanggol. You always give me advices that makes me realized things. You were always there for me.

I know its wrong, pero, 'di ko maiwasang isipin na bakit? Why are you always protecting me? Why are you always there for me? I'm just nothing. Bakit mo'ko pinagaaksayahan ng panahon?

One day, I gather all my couraged to ask you why. Not that I don't want your company or presence. Nakapagtataka lang na lahat ng tao ayaw sa'kin, but you? You even choose to stay by my side.

"Ashie, why?" I asked. You looked at me with confusion.

"Please, enlighten me. What do you mean why?" you asked too. I take a deep breath.

"You're supposed to hate me too," I said. "But instead, you're here by my side. Why?"

You smiled at me like you found me amusing. "Because I want you to be my friend," you simply answered. Your words touched my heart and my soul. But not enough to know if it's me that has something wrong or them that has something wrong.

Why does everyone hates me? "May mali ba sa'kin?" I asked.

"There's nothing wrong with you Ilyn. Sa kanila ang may mali. If you think na they doesn't like you kasi may mali sa'yo, then you're thinking wrong. Sa kanila ang may mali kasi 'di nila sinubukan kahit minsan na intindihin ka," you said.

Napatulala ako sa sinabi mo. You reached my hand to hold it. "Pero bakit gusto mo akong maging kaibigan?" I asked in confusion.

It'sjust that, it seems doesn't make any sense. If there's no wrong to me, then why? Why do they bully me? Why do they hate me?

You just chuckled. "Why? Ayaw mo ba?" You asked laughing. Like what I'm saying is just all a joke.

"Of course I do want to be friends with you. It's just that, Naku-curious lang ako," I said then pouted. "Masama ba ang ma-curious?" pahina kong tanong.

You laugh at me na lalong pang ikinatulis ng labi ko. Argh! Curious lang eh! You know? Curiousity kills a cat.

"I want to be friends with you because I know it's worth it," you said. Naguluhan naman ako. Me? Worth it? How? I don't get it. "I can sense na mapagkakatiwalaan ka. And I know, you're not the type na taken for granted lang. I saw that what you take, you're managing to have a exchange for that kahit na hindi na kailangan. I just saw na you have a pure soul."

Pure soul. That's a quite words of her. It flattered me.

You looked at me with a smile. "Whatever happen, wherever we are, whatever fight we're in. I'll always be your friend. Ill' always be there for you. I'll always be your ally."

I finally smiled at you. Feeling grateful to your words of wisdom. "Thank you Ashie. I promise too, to be also your ally. To be always a friend of yours, forever."

You're my first ever friend. I promise from the bottom of my heart, I'll be the ally of yours that will never leave your side.
