Chapter 41 (Part 1)

Prachi's tears appeared as droplets of translucent pearls in her eyes, refusing to flow freely down her gentle cheeks. Rehaan stood beside her, his palm gently relaxing over her shoulder.

While Prachi made sure that her parents remained unaware of their difficulties, Rehaan told Sanchi about her fight with Aarohi.

"Pihu, Aar-ohi is not only your fri-end but also a part of our fam-ily." While Sanchi explained to her on the phone, Prachi seemed to shake her head. "If she is suppo-rtive of the wrong things, you sho-uld try and make her rea-lize her fault instead of argu-ing with her. I didn't expect this beha-vior from you."

"But, maa. . ." Prachi spoke abruptly with a heavy voice. "Aaru's cousin is very bad. ."

"Pihu, my darling-" Vihaan's soothing voice added brightness to the paleness of Prachi's eyes. "Won't you even listen to your papa?"

"Pa-pa. . ."

"You both should only remember that you are there for a purpose of getting groomed under experts and excelling fairly in the training camp should be your topmost priority," Vihaan uttered slowly and clearly, there was sharp confidence engraved in his voice. "Why don't you consider that these things are just hurdles only to distract and deviate you from your goal?"

"Dad, how can we remove these hurdles?" Rehaan was the one to ask all of a sudden.

"Rihu, my hero, there will always be certain hurdles which can never be removed. You can either choose to tamper with the hurdle and deviate from your main target, or leave the hurdle as it is and take the other path." Vihaan took a brief pause and added, "The quarrel with Aarohi is one such hurdle and you should leave her alone as she is. If she realizes that she is wrong, she will return to you, or else she won't. She is also not entirely at fault just because she supported her cousin. It's completely justified."

"What if she keeps supporting the very rude Ishaan Singh Talwar all through the training session?" Rehaan reasoned briefly. "Will Pihu keep being upset as she is now? In that way, we both will keep losing the challenges, dad. I don't want our opponents to win."

"Rihu, everybody at the camp including Aarohi is there to earn the badges and certificates, but I want my children to go for the transformation of their lives. Even if it costs your friendships or relationships, you should happily accept it as it is also a part of our lives." Vihaan explained to him. "If you can bring a change in you without having to argue with others, the awards and honors will definitely be in your court."

"Papa-" Prachi murmured tenderly. "I pro-mise I will work hard on your adv-ice."

"I will too, dad." Rehaan piqued between with a determination.

"Reme-mber to follow only the good adv-ice of your father," Sanchi said with a chuckle. "Stay safe, bab-ies. I love you."

"I love the three of you." Vihaan managed to mutter and Sanchi responded to him with a pinch.

"We love you both." Prachi and Rehaan shouted in a chorus. "See you soon."

"Each of you has found an object related to a common human emotion in your boxes." Major Godbole began with his speech on the second day of their training. "Now can you figure out the emotions you all have received?"

While Aarohi shrugged her shoulders, Ishaan shook his empty box again. Shalini was forcing her brain to figure out what exactly the bluebird in her box meant while Dhairya had a tight frown grooved in his forehead.
