Why can't I love you in slow motion?

The butterflies in her stomach went wild as their gazes never left each other. Heejung prayed he wouldn't hear the loud thumping of her heart. He broke into a fit of laughter, sensing that she might be feeling awkward with him boldly staring at her as if he too wasn't nervous of his schemes, smoothly brushing off the awkwardness that's building in between them.

Heejung cleared her throat and tore her gaze from him as his laughter seeped through the nocturnal noises, him even lightly slapping her shoulder in a kidding manner that she only raised her brows in surprise.

The night fell deeper and so did their late night talk. It must be the light-headedness factor due to their sleep deprivation that caused the two to start random topics and spontaneously share their experiences, thoughts and opinions on it.

"If you were given the chance to go somewhere, where would it be?" Sehun asked, pointing his gaze to her with attentiveness as he pressed his fist against his cheek, squishing it that Heejung fought the urge to coo at.

She had always thought about this. She's already imagined herself in that place. "Hmm..."

"Maybe Europe?"

"Why?"

"'I just find them really interesting—languages, culture, infrastructure. It's cool."

"Yeah, they do." he nodded, having it a good thought. "But have you explored your own country yet?" He eyed her as she pouted her lips, trying to search through the bottom of her recollection.

"Not entirely," she replied.

"After our contract ends, what are you planning to do?" He dropped his gaze to his hands that were intertwined with each other.

"I don't know, I might still be studying? But a different course, I'm not certain about it yet and I'll probably be making music then." She clasped her lips together, making a popping sound.

"My brother might take me with him to London if I ask him. It really depends..." she continued, fiddling with her fingers as a sigh left her lips before she turned to Sehun. "What about you?"

He clicked his lips, shrugging with a motion of his hands. "Same as usual, I guess."

"When will your semester break end?" He asked.

"This coming Monday."

Heejung turned to him after sometime of reflecting. "If you hadn't been an idol, what do you think would you be doing right now?"

His pressed his lips together as he searched internally what would he be doing right now if he wasn't an EXO member. Possibilities and guesses surged in his mind.
