The house was quiet

The house was quiet. Not that it was not always like that, but this time, it was exceptional. There was uneasiness, far from peacefulness. Heejung locked herself in her room as soon as they arrived home. She sat at the back instead of the shotgun seat and Sehun didn't argue about it. He knows he shouldn't. Because he knows he's the cause of it.

The whole drive home was filled with Sehun silently scolding and questioning himself why he did such a thing. He could still feel her soft lips and he hated how he missed it when he knows it's so wrong in a different level.

Why did I kiss her?

As stupid as it is, he thought it's the only way to stop her from spitting facts he's too afraid to gulp down. She was too noisy. He couldn't hold it.

But this was what brought his tactic in shutting her up.

The next day, he woke up earlier than the usual. He made sure he was out before Heejung would. Though he wasn't sure if she had classes that day, he pushed through his plan. A sigh. The idol crossed his arms over his chest as he waited for the lass to come down.

Light steps from the stairs resounded and Sehun automatically turned towards it and their gazes locked. Heejung immediately looked away as Sehun cleared his throat, as if it would fight the awkwardness and cold stare Heejung sent him.

"Y-You're going?" he asked and bit his lip.

When Heejung stepped on the last stair, she proceeded to the shoe rack and searched for her shoes in it. Sehun raked his eyes over the wall that blocked themselves from each other, then he stood up from the couch, approaching Heejung from where she was.

Catching her slipping into her shoes, Sehun peeled a dry skin from his lips.

"About last night—"

She peered at him, a cold gaze meeting his as if it's piercing through his soul. It intimidated the idol so much that he couldn't utter anything. She didn't want to remember what happened last night. She wanted to forget it, at least if she did, she could maintain the respect she had for him.

Without a word, she left, shutting the door close to Sehun's face who's frozen on his spot.

"Shouldn't we already give that to the police? You having it makes me anxious about this," Myunghui slowly pulled over as they arrived at their destination.

A small apartment stood across the street where Myunghui chose to park. It had a minimal interior, it had a large parking lot in front but there wasn't any car to be seen.

"Relax," Heejung said as they wait inside the car. "We don't have to bring it with us inside."

Her nervous friend huffed as she prepared herself for what could be waiting for them once they stepped inside the boy's house. With another look and nod, the two got out of the car with Myunghui locking it immediately after.
