One by one, Sehun brought out the food from the paper bag that's awaiting Heejung. The large imprinted letter M on the paper actually brought a gush of excitement on the girl but she maintained her composure.
After pouring hot water in her favorite Marvel mug, she sat on the table's chair.
"I didn't know what you'd like so I just bought a lot," he spoke, too gently for the girl's comfort.
She wasn't accustomed to this side of Sehun.
Heejung silently bored her eyes on the latter, analyzing his features and just his overall character, silently judging him.
Oh Sehun is indeed unpredictable.
One day, he'd be all cold and mean, then the next thing you know, he's there eating with her, acting as if they weren't sending daggers at each other before.
After having the food prepared, Sehun sat at the opposite chair Heejung's positioned. In silence, they both dove in, stripping the burgers' wrapper as it was the only noise that resonated the awkward atmosphere.
"Uhm," Sehun gulped down his first bite, flickering his gaze at Heejung whose face was stoic even in eating. "Are you okay?"
"What a weird question to ask in the middle of a dinner," she nonchalantly replied, taking another bite.
"I-I just wanted to ask since... you know—"
"I'm fine."
Sehun grew skeptical of believing her. There's no guarantee that she's telling the truth. Myunghui's words from last time rang in his head as he watched Heejung grab her mug and chug it down.
He didn't know if it was the best time to tell the lass of the circumstance they are now facing in the public. However, he didn't really have much of a choice but to tell her.
How exactly?
She had already finished her burger and left the table, still Sehun hadn't told her what has been running in his mind for the past 15 minutes.
"Hey," he called before she exited the kitchen. She paused in her tracks, not bothering to look at him. "Wake up early. We have an appointment tomorrow morning at 11am."
Before she could even retort anything back, he walked past her, mumbling, "Wear something nice."

Messy bed covers. Photos spread on the floor. And a brown teddy bear sitting on the edge of the bed.
Heejung went back to her room after having her stomach filled, courtesy to Sehun's initiative to bring home McDonalds for dinner.
The days she spent sticking inside her room and rejecting any contact from people were just filled with her, reminiscing the moments she once shared with her deceased sibling.
