Baekhyun and Suho agreed on locking Sehun and Heejung up alone in a vacant room—particularly the one next to their practice room to have it certain that once the pair gets released from partial imprisonment, they are hopefully on better, calmer terms.
"What are you doing?—Hyung! Let me out of here!" Sehun banged on the door as Heejung plopped herself on the ground at the corner of the wide space.
With her knees up, she ducked her head down and murmured, "They won't open the door, idiot."
"If you had just given me back my phone, this wouldn't have happened!"
"Goodness, so childish.." she whispered to herself.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing!" She groaned in exasperation by his triggered tone. "Can you just not lash out everytime you feel like you're being attacked?"
He scoffed, "Says the one who always does them,"
"I don't want to argue anymore," the latter sighed, resting her cheek on her knees as she stared at her reflection in the mirror. Dark eyebags under her orbs telling how exhausted she was of her eventful day.
Her throat had already gone dry by all the shout backs she executed just because of Sehun's ridiculous accusations and sarcastic remarks that leave her utterly amazed by how his mind settles from one thing to another.
Sehun sat at exact 6 meters away from her, crossing his legs as he gazed at the mirror in front of them. Their eyes met through the glass and Heejung lazily avoided it, rolling her eyes in a subtle manner as to not provoke an awkward atmosphere between them—when in fact, it's already radiating around them.
"You know, this is all your fault," Sehun uttered, making Heejung arch a brow.
"Are you trying to start another fight? I swear, I'm already tired—"
"If you wouldn't have come, she wouldn't have left me."
Bemused, Heejung let herself be kept silent as she tries to intake the words the idol had just stated. He just let the words flow without meaning to intend another argument between them. Like he let his mind and heart speak.
"Hm.. do you want to talk about it?" The 19-year-old hesitantly asked.
Sehun contemplated over her inquiry, gazing down at the waxed floor. But as he thought more about it, the more pressured he got of the situation. He wanted to release the burden in his chest. That look on Hayeon's eyes never left his mind when she said she wanted to part ways.
"I was committed to someone else... you know, before this arrangement came," he started and Heejung intently listened, staring down at the ground as she runs circles on it with her finger.
"It's been months since we saw each other. She knew I was into a marriage contract with you. I thought it would still work. I wanted us to work because I want her... I love her."
