"All good?"

She hummed in response at his question as he drank the coffee in his cup by the counter. It was already dark outside, indicating it was already nighttime and the two were just unpacking the stuff they bought from the mall after eating at a restaurant. Of course, not leaving out the detail that they did eat chicken in which pleased Heejung the most.

Sehun helped her in bringing the vacuum from its box.

"There," he breathed, putting the appliance on the ground, a proud look emitting on his face. His hand were on his waist as Heejung cleaned up the tapes and boxes and put them to the side for the meantime.

"Let's arrange them tomorrow. We did a great job today." He patted her back as they stood in front of the vacuum.

"Yeah, I'll just clean up the others," she said before huffing and blowing the baby bangs that fringed over her forehead.

Sehun nodded but stayed and helped her out with whatever she needed help with. It was not that much as the bags were put in the living room for it to be organized the next day. As Heejung tested out the vacuum, the noise booming in the house, she raked her tired eyes over Sehun who was busy removing the packages from inside the paper and plastic bags.

The past events that occurred to them flashed in her mind as her gaze never left Sehun's back figure. There was a burden that weighed in her chest, waiting for it to explode but she kept her cool.

She finished vacuuming the living room area and once its noise died down, Sehun turned to her, finding her already looking at him.

"I haven't said thank you, haven't I?" She spoke, catching him off-guard, his hand holding up the brand new table mats they purchased.

"Well..."

"Thanks, Sehun."

He fought back a smile at her words though he could clearly see how she contemplated about uttering those words but still did with so much genuineness.

"For what?" He grinned, putting the table mats on the counter of the kitchen as Heejung mindlessly put the vacuum on the side and went to work with the other things inside the shopping bags.

"For everything you did these past weeks. Thanks for being around."

"I'm just doing my job as your loving husband."

Her brows arched at his reply which he obviously did not mean, that she could only shake her head in disbelief.

"But seriously, I'm really grateful. You better listen because you won't hear me say this again." She glared at him.

"Oh okay, miss ma'am. Fire away."

She rolled her eyes at Sehun who found her speaking truthfully, so amusing and bewildering at the same time. How could he get used to this side of her?
