A blank expression lingered on Heejung's pale face as she looked around inside the room she stayed in for days to recuperate. She's getting discharged today.
Sehun strapped the bag Heejung used to stuff her things in during her stay, over his shoulder, turning to look at the girl who lazily pushed herself up from her bed.
A chiming ringtone resounded from the side table and Sehun raked his eyes over the phone that continued to buzz, then to Heejung who chose to ignore it, her gaze directing somewhere else.
"Aren't you going to answer that?" Sehun asked, stepping to take the phone.
"I don't want to talk to them," she replied in a cold tone. She flickered her eyes at him when a question arose. "Do they know I'm getting discharged today?"
"I didn't tell them."
"Good."
With one last look, the two left the room.

"Why isn't she answering?" Ayeong frantically walked in circles, dialing her daughter's number for the nth time but still having it unanswered.
"Why don't you just go check on her?" Raising his his head up from the papers that were scattered on his desk, Mr. Kim asked his wife.
"But I can't leave you here. We still have a meeting—"
"I can manage, darling." He smiled reassuringly. "Go to our girl. After I finish the meeting, I'll follow."
"Are you sure?" She stepped closer to his table, resting her hand against it as she stared at her husband in anticipation.
A relaxed nod. "Go."
Ayeong drove to the hospital her daughter was confined. And when she entered Heejung's room, an empty bed greeted her, neatly made. She blinked a few times, trying to intake what she just saw.
A nurse came in the room who got startled at Ayeong's presence.
"Excuse me, ma'am? Why are you here?"
"Uh, where's the girl who's confined here?"
"She's discharged today, ma'am. They just left."
Bawling her hand to a fist with her knuckles turning white, she grabbed her phone from inside her bag and dialed Heejung's number again. But just as how the girl ignored her earlier, and from the past days she's been calling her, Ayeong's call got rejected.

The constant ringing of doorbell almost made Sehun's ears swell in annoyance as it now worsened to almost having the door broken down by how Heejung's mother kept banging the door, demanding them to open it.
