A married couple?! A Mitch Rapp story. Part Eight

Weekend went by quickly. Soon they was back at there place. Marie liked the new place they was in. It seemed bigger than the last one.
Mitch's works mates was wary of him following the weeks before.
Mitch didn't care right now. He knew they had to be careful. Because of his work mates wanting to know more about there marriage. And this could leave Marie in a lot of danger. If the information was to reach the wrong people.

Mitch and Marie relationship was growing. The more time they spent together the more there feelings was becoming more and more real.
They didn't worry about showing each other affection around people it come naturally to them. Only thing that had happened was the sexual side of there relationship.
Mitch's feelings to her was becoming more that way and little did Mitch know so was Marie's. She wanted him to. But wasn't sure how to let him know.
This side of their relationship wasn't spoken about around him. Irene was ok with it if it happened. But him wasn't, even though they had to pretend.

They was talking in Irene's  office about how the rest of the people had now accepted that Mitch was married. Well some of them had. A few was still a bit unsure on whether there marriage was real or not.
"You know Mitch has changed a lot since he started protecting Marie". Irene said.
"It's part of his job to protect her. Any word on these people". He said.
"No. It seems Mitch being around Marie as made them back off. But we still need to find them". Irene said.
"Yes I know. Marie needs to be able to get back to her life". He said.
"Marie and Mitch are apart of each other's life. You don't think once this is over, either of them are not going to have contact with one another". Irene said.
"It's his job remember". He said.
"Yes. But it's also his life as well. He's pretending to be married to her. But lately. I don't see it as pretending anymore". Irene said.
"No, no. Mitch knows not to let it get personal". He said.
"Maybe so. But you can't control ones feelings and you know that your self". Irene said.
"Yeah well it's different". He said.
"Not really. You put are best agent by her side to protect her. That was you using your feelings knowing he could protect her". Irene said.
"Yeah. I didn't mean they should be more than that". He said.
"Look there both adults. She makes him happy. He smiles a lot when she's around. He things no one notices but I do". Irene said.
"Yeah but they don't need to be doing that either. To show there married". He said.
Irene shook her head at him.
"What?" He said.
"Let them do what they like. Again they are adults. And I think there in love with one another for real". Irene said.
Making him look at her again. She just shook her head. And looked at the screen in front of her.
"You know this trying to find these people could take ages. You know that". Irene said.

The two carried on talking.
Back with Marie and Mitch was sat watching something on tv. She was cuddled into his side. He was so warm at the moment.

As the weeks went on. Again some questions was being asked about their marriage. People still didn't think it was real. They all tried to ignore it. But Irene was worried.
They had managed to find some of the people. And at the moment Marie hadn't been contacted or followed by people who was trying to get to the person.
But Mitch's work mates again started to question him on there marriage.
"Come on mate. What she like?" Thomas said.
"That is non of your business. I don't ask you questions about your relationships. So maybe you should stop trying to get involved in mine". Mitch said.
"Yeah ok mate. Your relationship doesn't feel right. It feels like a few of you are keeping secrets from the rest of us". Luke said.
Mitch stopped what he was doing and looked at him.
"Look I've already broken your nose once. If you keep on with these comments. I won't think twice about breaking it again. Or maybe your legs. Now stop talking about my wife like that, ok?" Mitch said.
As he soon carried on beating the bag in the front of him building up a sweat. Just as Marie walked in. She couldn't help but look at him with his top off all hot and sweaty. The men looked at Marie and then at Mitch. She could sense an atmosphere in the room which again made her rather uncomfortable.
Mitch looked at her and could tell this. He stopped what he was doing and walked to her. Pulling her into a hug kissing her.
Marie kissed him back and hugged him.
"Your wasn't there when I woke up". Marie said.
"I'm sorry babe, needed to work on somethings". Mitch said. Marie nodded as she understood. She looked at the rest of them who was watching the two of them.

A few other people was also watching them. A female who had not long started to work for them she was based in Medical and had notice Mitch around. She too was surprise that he was married. She looked at the two of them. As they showed each other affection. Marie put her hands on his bare chest and took a deep breath. Looking at him into his eyes. Hun looking right back at her. They both stood there. She smiled sweetly at him.

The guys left them too it. Marie could feel the atmosphere lift once they had left the area.
"What was all that about?" Marie said quietly as she could see someone else watching them. Mitch turned and looked at the person who was watching them and back at his wife.
"Come on, let's leave here and I will tell you". He said. Picking up a towel and his top. As he wiped his face, neck and chest. Putting his top back on. Taking her hand, they walked off together. The person still watching them until they was out of sight. Marie turned around and faced him.
"They asking stupid nosey questions again aren't they?" Marie said.
"Yes. And I've told them to back off". Mitch said.
"Who is That women that was watching us. I've never seen her before?" Marie said.
"Yeah she's new. She works in the medical part. But I don't know why she was watching us for". Mitch said.
"Maybe she likes you". Marie said. Mitch looked at Marie.
"Well I like you. And I ain't going there ok. So you don't need to worry". Mitch said.
"I know. But it's just well this. And I know we aren't doing that. So you know". Marie said.
"Listen. I ain't interested in her ok. I know we aren't like that. But I'm not leaving your side ok. I'm not like that. I would rather be next to you at night time ok". Mitch said.
Marie looked at him and smiled.
"I know. This is just still getting used to. You know. Maybe we can be like that. But only if you want to. I wouldn't want to make you feel you have to at all". Marie said. This took Mitch by surprise. But it was a nice surprise. He moved to her closer and kissed her again. Marie couldn't help but melt into the kiss. His kisses his hands. Everything she knew she had fallen for him. And by the way he was kissing her, she could sense he had too.
