Chapter Four

Tahimik lang siya hanggang sa marating namin ang School ni Haukea. He didn't even bother to talk and mas lalo lang lumalakas ang kutob ko na related silang dalawa. Wala akong karapatan na husgahan ang dalawa but damn. Basta pagdating kay Nix interesado ako sa lahat.

"Do you have question, Sava?" Bigla niyang tanong sa akin sa gitna ng katahimikan. Tila ramdam niya yata ang mga titig ko sa kanya paminsan-minsan.

Hindi talaga matatahimik ang kaluluwa ko kapag may bagay gumugulo sa akin.

"Do you know that guy earlier?" I was careful with my question. He became my friend even weeks ago. And i know that his intensions are pure. I have friends to protect na and i wont let fucking world hurt them.

"Yes, Sava. He is Nix." Tumingin ito sa akin ng nakangiti. Whats wrong with him? "Why?" Bumalik ang tingin nito sa gate ng makitang palabas na ang mg estudyante.

"Nothing." I give him a small smile. "By the way, after this you can go home with Haukea. May pupuntahan kasi ako."

He raised his eyebrow. "Where?"

"Today is my Father's death anniversary." I smiled.

He looked at me without emotions pero nakikita ko sa mga mata niya ang lungkot. "I'ts okay! Sasamahan ka namin."

"No. Alam kong pagod ka na and also si Haukea. Pagod rin siya sa school she need to rest." I assure him na okay lang ako mag-isa.

"Ang bait mo Sava. Sa loob ng pitong araw na kasama kita. I know deep inside that you are really kind. You're just building a wall to depend on yourself. I don't know what happened to your past but unless I assure you that I won't hurt you." I look at his eyes and I can see how pale his eyes have become.

He is serious no matter what he says. Not only that but something in his eyes that he already knew about me before. I can not read it. What's wrong with me? Did he know that i read his emotions?

"Thank you."I just said then look away.

May takot na namuo sa puso ko na baka huli ako pa ang makakasakit sa kanila. I building this wall since my mother died and only Nix lang ang nakabasag nito. Siya lang talaga. And now? Nagsisimula na akong maging bukas sa iba.

"Hi, Tita Ain." Naagaw ni Kea ang atensyon ko ng magiliw nitong batiin ang pangalan ko. I can't help but to rolled my eyes. I remeber how Nix call me by that name. It so sweet! At gusto ko si Nix lang tumatawag sa akin nyon.

She chuckled. "Stop calling me Ain. Its annoying."

"Why? May tao bang tumatawag sayo ng ganyan?" Axill chuckled. Oh. They both fucking chuckled.

I can't help but to rolled my eyes again. This kid know how to pissed ms off but also know how to make my mood change.

"I'm sorry, Tita Sava. Let's eat chocolate later." She smiled widely this time.

"Hindi pwede, Kea. May pupuntahan tayo ngayon. Sa ibang araw na lang okay?" Axill said at nag-umpisa narin itong magdrive.

Kea's frowned. I sighed. "Pwede naman tayo dumaan sa store Axill. Saka deritso tayo sa flower shop ni Cari." I sugested. Kea eyes widened then she suddenly give me a tight hug that made me shocked. Hindi ako magalaw sa kinauupuan ko sa sobrang gulat.

But Kea doesn't bother of my reaction. Instead yumapos pa ito sa mga braso ko. I looked at Axil na nakangiti na ngayon. Ganyan lang ang posisyon ni Kea sa braso ko ng maramdaman ko ang biglang pagkalaglag ng kanyang ulo na agad kong sinalo. She fall asleep in my arms. I supported its head and slowly placed it on my lap. In her deep sleep she did not notice my movements.
