"The party is in a couple of minutes, are you about ready, pumpkin?"

You look up towards Timothy, sitting on the couch. You're fitting your shoes onto your feet, finally standing up and walking around. Tim raises an eyebrow as he watches you, following you with his eyes as you walked around the room.

"What do you think?" You asked, referring to your outfit. It wasn't much, nor was it different to what you normally wore. You wore dark blue jeans with combat-style boots. Above your normal shirt, you had a leather-ish jacket that covered your new cybernetic arm. You didn't think you looked much different or appealing. However, Tim just stood there, his eyes glued on you. He seemed almost... mesmerized.

"...great... you look..-" Tim's eyes widened as he cleared his throat, straightening up and composing himself. He shifted his weight, moving his arms from one position to the other. "You look great," he finished, seeming to have caught himself in the middle of staring.

"Really?" A smile tugged at your lips as Tim continued to act awkward. It was endearing, to say the least - especially with the fact that he looked exactly like Handsome Jack. Seeing his body double act so flustered was adorable, as well as unnatural. Though, maybe he was always like this and you just didn't know? You'd have to get to know him more... you sure wouldn't be opposed to it. He seemed so different from Jack... it was hard to believe that he was hired to be a doppelgänger at all.

"Yeah.. gosh.. er- uhm- sorry, hah, I'll meet you out there, alright, kiddo?" Timothy gave you a chuckle and a smile, scratching the back of his neck. "I've still got to get ready."

You gave him a nod as you grabbed your ECHO, making sure to keep it secure to your side. You paused before walking out the door, turning to Tim. "By the way, what's with the Jack-ish nicknames? You don't have to act like him around me, you know." You told him, giving him an amiable grin.

Tim seemed to have paled slightly at what you said, his eyes wandering to the side as if to avoid the conversation. "Ah, shit, sorry... it's not really something I can control.." Tim began to explain, rubbing his right arm nervously with his left. "When I was made into a body double, I was injected with some of Jack's DNA... it makes me speak like him or sometimes act like him without wanting to... though, I act more like him than myself around these people here.. mostly because it's just something they're used to.. I'm pretty much a perfect double of him, inside and out."

You listened intently, receiving this as new information. "Ah, I see..."

"Yeahhh... so just give me a slap if I step out of line and start acting like Jack, alright, cupca- erm-.. Y/N," Tim quickly corrected himself, a small groan escaping his lips, accompanied by a quiet 'sorry.' You just chuckled and grinned, patting his shoulder gently to reassure him. He flinched and gave an apologetic smile. "Go have fun, I'll meet you out there soon."

"I will, thank you, Timothy," you replied before walking out of the door.

The streets of Sanctuary were alive with joy.

There were lights running along the buildings, creating a festive and energetic atmosphere. In the middle of the city was a large banner that read 'the prick is dead.' People were chatting, dancing, celebrating - celebrating the death of Handsome Jack. The man who was hiding in your house, inside this very city. If circumstances were the same as a couple weeks ago, you would've been right there with them. Taking a deep breath, you left your home and walked into the sea of citizens.
