Unveiling Fifteen

"Why did you cross the hyenas' border?" Bulong ni Amara sa natutulog na si Kaiden. "H-Huh?!" Napabalikwas ito ng upo dahil nagulat siya kay Amara.

"Narinig mo ang itinanong ko." Sagot nito bago umayos ng tayo. She then slowly walked into Kaiden's room habang pinapasadahan niya ng kamay niya ang mga gamit dito. "You better answer me before I lose my patience."

"I already told you. Hindi ko sinasadyan-" Kaiden wasn't able to finish was he was about to say nang biglang lumapit si Amara sa kanya. She's now sitting on his bed, close to his face. "You don't lie to me, human." Seryosong sambit nito na ngayon ay nakalabas na ang mga pangil habang nakatitig sa mga mata ni Kaiden.

"O-Okay... Too close." Kaiden said while leaning backwards because of Amara's closeness. Amara then avoided his gaze before moving away from him.

"I did that on purpose." Pagsisimula nito bago tarantang dugtungan ang sinabi. "B-But I'm not into doing something bad, okay? I just... It's just..."

"Just?" Nakataas ang kilay na tanong ni Amara sa kanya. "It's just that someone's calling me and I got curious so I followed the voice. Hindi ko naman alam na nakalagpas na pala ako sa border dahil hindi ko napansin." He said, stressed and anxious bago sabunutan ang kanyang buhok at tumingin kay Amara. Sinalubong naman nito ang kanyang tingin habang naniningkit ang kanyang mga mata.

"A voice?" She asked, still looking at him seriously, as if examining him.

"Yeah. A voice." Sagot naman ni Kaiden na parang kinukumbinsi pa si Amara. A moment of silence embraced them while looking at each other before Amara started to talk again.

"You're not lying."

"I'm not. Come on, akala mo ba joke pa rin? At first, yes, I lied. Pero wala akong masamang intensyon. Hindi ako nagsabi ng totoo dahil ayaw ko nang humaba pa ang usapan."

"Why would a voice call for you?" Nalilitong tanong ni Amara sa sarili. "Hindi ko alam. I asked myself the same thing. That's why I got curious and followed the it."

"Is it a man or a lady?"

"A lady, probably? The voice is too soft for a man. I mean, not to judge, but the voice is sweet and she sounds longing." Kibit balikat na sagot nito. Amara then tilted her head because of curiosity.

"Sleep again." She said before standing up to leave the room.

"Wait." Kaiden said that made Amara stop from walking towards the door. "That's it? Ginising mo 'ko to ask me about that stuff na pwede namang bukas na lang, then you'll leave me and tell me to sleep again. You're unbelievable." Hindi makapaniwalang sabi ni Kaiden.

"What do you want me to do? Sleep with you?" Litong tanong ni Amara.

"That sounds so wrong. But if you want to, the bed you guys provided me is big enough for the both of us." Nakangiting tapik niya sa kanyang kama na ikinangiwi ni Amara.
