*CHAPTER TWENTY*

"Let me go." Alina demanded while struggling in the guards arms.

Aleksander motioned for him to let her go. After he did, Alina stopped struggling, stood her ground and just gave Aleksander a really dirty look.

"You can go now." Aleksander said while dismissing the guard.

After that, all four of us just stood there in silence while looking at each other. It was clear that there was some real tension between Alina and Aleksander. I mean, he did lie to her and used her...

"Alright, I think it's best if we just get to business." Aleksander finally broke the silence after a couple of really awkward minutes.

"What business?" Alina spat back at him. "And who are you?" she asked me with raised eyebrows.

I was about to answer her but Aleksander was quicker. "We are going to destro-

"Oh don't start that bullshit again!"

"Enough!" Baghra stopped the bickering before it could get worst. After they both quieted down, she explained the whole story. And when I say the whole story I actually mean it. From our adventures to here, from us finding out that I'm Naturalki, what Naturalki are, us planning on destroying the fold, how to and also the amplifiers...

"And how do I know that this isn't another of your tricks, Aleksander!?"

Again, Baghra interfered before he even opened his mouth. "We will do this a little bit differently than we did it last time. This time, I will be incharge of everything. If anyone has an idea for anything, they come to me and we discuss it together. Training will also be done and planned by me. Is everything clear?"

"Yes." we all said together because honestly, Baghra looked really intimidating.

"All right! Training will be tomorrow at 9am. Breakfast is at 8. Someone will fetch you for both of those things. Now go rest, next few weeks are not going to be easy."

After that all of us were send into different chambers.

After I came into the chamber I put on the night gown that I found in the wardrobe, went to bed and fell asleep pretty quickly. But my slumber was interrupted pretty quickly by knocking on the door.

"Come in." I mumbled out while lifting myself on my elbows. I looked at the clock on my bedside table and saw it was about 2am. Who the hell is here at 2am?  I knew I probably had no reason to be scared, since I'm in the 'most secure building in the world' but I still, just incase called upon the fire to go from my palm. And I only put it out after I saw that the person who came in is Aleksander.

"What are doing in here at this hour?" I asked him.

"I just wanted to tell you to not let Baghra get too much to you. She will also use your emotions to get your powers as strong as they can. But still, try to control your emotions as much as you can. Especially while using amplifiers." he told me while looking in my eyes. He opened his mouth to say something else but then closed them once more before saying "Good night Ember." and then walked out and closed the door.

"Night." I whisper back before sleep took over again.

The start of the next morning was pretty much the same. Only this time, there were only those two girl coming to get me ready. Without Genya. Shame, I kind of liked her.

After bathing and dressing, they brought me into some little dining room in which there were only two other people. Alina and Aleksander. I sat down and started to eat. They did too, and the whole time, no-one said a word. I didn't mind that much and busied myself by looked at our different keftas. Aleksander's one was black with black cuffs, Alina's blue with gold embroidery and mine was green with pale blue, red, silver and gold embroidery. I wonder if anyone else has the exact same kefta as me...?

After breakfast, Aleksander walked us towards this cave looking thingy where we are supposted to have our training. I looked really surprised after I saw the place while Alina didn't. I guess she was here already then.

"You finally decided to show up? Let's start then, we've got a lot of work to do." and she meant that literally. She started going over stuff with Alina and then it was my turn. At first we started with the basics, like summoning different elements but when she saw that I was already able to do that easily we went to harder stuff like moving different objects, controlling plants, trees and eventually even clouds, the sun and the moon. 

That was basically everything for the first day. Although she did make me use more power every new day which made me really tired at the end of the day.

It's currently a week after our first training and this time it's supposed to be just me and Baghra. That kind of annoyed me and it didn't help the fact that this day has been kind of shitty. First of all, I barely got any sleep last night because of the late training, I missed breakfast because I over slept and I also fell down the stairs for no reason at all. And now after I have walked into an empty cave it looks like I have to wait for the person who yells at me for being late... even if it's just one minute... ONE MINUTE. 

After she finally came in I asked while summoning the wind into the cave with my hands rising to my hips as requested. "May I ask why it's just me this time?"

"Because you are simply just not ready yet while Miss Starkov is." Baghra answered my question.

"And why is that since I am pretty sure that changing the day into the night and back is much harder." This time she didn't answer my question. Instead of that, she just stared at me. "Hello? Will you answer me please?" I asked again.

"You are just not ready yet..." she answered calmly.

"And what more do you want me to do?" she just shrugged her shoulders.

"Well if you don't know what you want me to do then I'm ready aren't I?" again, she just shrugged.

After that, suddenly Aleksander came in and whispered something in her ear. She turned her back to me and started to talk to him.

"Hello, I'm still here..?" no answer.

"You know if it's about the fold destroying thing.. which it probably is because why else would he come in in the middle of training... I should know about it since I'm destroying it..." still no answer.

And that's when I lost it and let all of my frustration out that was building up in me through the day which made me release the wind I was summoning which knocked some pots and the two other people in the cave over while yelling "Will you answer me please!?"

After my outburst they finally turned to me and while looking around Baghra said "And now it's just the amplifiers left."

"Here are the two amplifiers you were talking about." Baghra said while giving them to me. "Hold each of them in one hand, those hands closed in front of you and close your eyes." I did as I was told and after that I could feel the crystals glowing in my hands. "Now, imagine the breath, wind, air on one side and a spark, fire, sun on the other. And then, imagine the crystals sucking that power in themselfs. And finally, sucking the power of the crystals from them into yourself, the crystals melting into you, consume the power from them... become on with the nature." I inhaled a deep breath as I felt a bunch of new power filling me up. Being consumed with it and feeling to be able to be one with the air and fire. 

After I opened my eyes and palmed I saw that the crystals were now nothing but dust in my palms, and just with a simple thought, I was able to summon the wind to carry the dust away from my palms...

"Now. You are ready." Baghra said while giving me a smile for the first time.
