The girl nobody knew| The Darkling

*CHAPTER TWO*

A walk through the village at this hour was actually quite nice. The sun was slowly setting which made the air chilly which made most people retrieve in to their houses but I didn't mind.

Pretty sure it's because my happiness made the sun stay a little longer and the air get a little warmer.

With me humming a melody while walking, I arrived at my destination in no time. But once I came there, my mood immediately change... Something just felt off.

I could clearly see one edge of the fold. And for some reason it looked a lot more wild than usually. I tried to shrug that feeling away, but my latest visions didn't really help me with that.

I had been having these visions since we got the official news, that this supposed Sun summoner  was going to destroy the fold.
The vision weren't really clear and I couldn't put my finger on it if they were bad or good. Mr. and Mrs. Tonovački guessed that they ment bad news since I have been seeing shadows and darkness. They think it  has something to do with the fold. I doubt that but what else could it be? Buf if it were to be the fold, shouldn't I feel scared, mortified? I mean, it does make me feel anxious but also kind of safe...?

A sudden lightning made me jump back to the reality. It was about to rain. "Allright Ember, it's time to try it out. And if it doesn't work... Well, You'll be soaked." I thought.

And just as the first few drops fell, I raised my hand in the air and tried to make some kind of a shield on top of me. That seemed to work since the drops hadn't touched me yet.

"Okay, and now happy thoughts." I said to myself as I closed my eyes and lowered my arms at around hip height. And that is when I felt the air get warmer and the sound of the rain slowly disappearing.

When I opened my eyes, the only thing reminding the fact that it rained just a couple of seconds was slightly damp grass.

I reached for the wind with my right arm and dried most of the grass around me and layed on it.

While listening to the noises night animals made, I started drifting off with this feeling that someone was watching me...

I stumbled out of something, and when I looked behind me, I saw THE FOLD.

"Follow" a really suiting but deep voice said.

And the next thing I saw startled me. This shadowy creatures walked out of the fold but instead of hurting me, they just walked on with me after I turned my back to them.

The creatures walked and walked until I stopped behind a rock that was standing before a field that looked really familiar.

"Disappear, but come back immediately when I call for you." the voice told the creatures and after nodding did exactly what the voice told them.

I turned toward the field, and that's when I saw me? I watched myself use my abilities and then lay down on the grass.

And that's when it hit me! Am I having another one of my visions?  Is someone watching me? Are they dangerous? Will they hurt me?

"hhhh" I inhaled after I woke up from another vision. And this time, it looked like the vision was from another person's perspective, which was a first.

I immediately stood up and looked around.

"Hello! Is somebody there!?" I screamed. No answer.

A couple of chills ran down my spine as I slowly turned around and started walking back home. And by the look of the sun, it was about time.
