CHAPTER NINE💜

 

      The boys hostel is filled with boys going in and out of the various rooms. Meanwhile, Raphael Uhil, the hostel perfect, is preoccupied with two boys who he was told were fighting.

Jordan walks over to where they stood, his eyes filled with questions.

"Are they the ones who fought?" Jordan inquires, and as he looks at both boys, he realizes they are SS1 students.

"The SS1 boys want to turn this hostel into a boxing ring." I just finished dealing with a case; what JSS3 students are not doing!" Raphael, who appeared ready to pounce on them at any moment, says.

"Senior Wealth, please plead on our behalf; we will not do it again!" One of the junior boys says to Wealth, who appears to be unaware of what is going on as he walks in with Goriola, who has a serious expression on his face as always.

"Keep your mouth shut or you will end up in the patron's office!" Raphael is making threats. Meanwhile, Wealth moves closer to him.

"You know we are not supposed to give them harsh punishments, school rules," Wealth says quietly, confident that no one heard him.

"I only want to scare them a little!" Raphael responds with the same tone.
Jordan and Goriola observe them, wondering what they were whispering to themselves. Until Wealth decides to speak up.

"Raphael. Please pardon them. You know how annoying these students can be, and prep starts in ten minutes!" Wealth says amid laughter, and Raphael gives him a glance before reluctantly turning to the boys, who he knew were trying hard not to smile.

"Now, start going to prep. I do not want to see you two in this hostel. If you like when you get there to fight, then we will see in the patron's office, you trust his punishment don't you?" Raphael issues a threat. Despite being aware of his exaggeration. The patron was not going to punish them that severely.

Hallel College reserved the right for any teacher, headteacher, matron, patron, perfect, and so on to publicly humiliate or physically punish any student. You may give the student a little tap, but do not do anything that would cause him or her any significant pain.

The boys mutter a few words of appreciation before fleeing.

"Let us go to prep. I want to deal with some Ss2 students who believe they have developed wings." Goriola says with a smile on his face. It was not surprising that he despised the students in that class. Set after set, Ss3 students never agree with Ss2 students. They are constantly searching for ways to deal with them.

"Gori, I wonder why you dislike Ss2 students in general; your brother is in that class, do not forget!" Raphael laughs, despite the fact that he knew Goriola did not care much about his brother. You would never guess they were blood relatives.

"Jordan, are you not coming with us?" Wealth questions his friend, whom he believes has blanked out. Despite his usual quiet demeanor.

"Dumlesi. What is this na?" Science who looked so impatient asked her friend who was clearly busy eating her cornflakes. April who didn't seem happy also, started at Dumlesi hugging her book on her chest.

"Science, please is it because I'm eating your cornflakes? If you make me angry now, I will drop it!" Dumlesi says and pauses.

"Drop it na!" Science rolls her eyes.

"Dumlesi, we are late for prep, you know how those SS3 perfects can be, Her Royal Majesty," Nancy says in mockery. April couldn't help but smile. She could also swear she heard Science giggle. She couldn't hide the fact she was amused. Because this was the first time she heard Nancy crack a joke or says more than three words since she arrived.
