Los Angeles is my happy place. I first went there during the time I was waiting for the approval of my admission in college. I was anxious about being rejected to my dream school. But as I spend the month in Los Angeles and see my aunt after almost a decade, the anxiety melted away.
We went to so many places, met new people, and made beautiful memories. When I often feel down and depressed, I always look back to the time when we were there---riding roller coasters and eating away until our stomachs feel sick.
And just like me, I know you have a happy place, too. Thinking about your happy place can help you be a bit calmer when you're dealing with so much negative thoughts.
It works for me, every single time.
Try it out!
