° Escaping °

It was the day that Jessica had to go home with her 'lovely' family. She will have to be in the same house as James and Sirius for two weeks.

She was on the train back to London when someone entered her compartiment.

"Oh, sorry. Do you mind if I sit here? There's a lot of people coming home this break and everywhere is filled with people" A brown-haired boy asked

"Yeah, come in," Jessica said with a little smile while she opened her book.

"What's your name?" the boy asked

"I'm Jessica Potter. What about you?"

"Amos Diggory"

"Nice to meet you Amos" She said with a smile "Which house are you?"

"Hufflepuff, and you?"

"Slytherin"

"What are you reading?" he asked with curiosity

"It's a muggle book called 'they both die at the end'. It's very interesting actually"

"Don't you hate muggles and muggle-borns?" he asked

"No I don't. My family raised me, making me believe that they were not bad. And they're true. Muggle people is very interesting"

"Oh. Nice to hear that. I think you're the only slytherin I've ever heard saying that." he laughed

"I actually know someone who doesn't care about them either and he's in Slytherin. But I would rather not talk about him" she said, a little bit sad. She shouldn't have pushed Regulus like that. After all, he's the only real family she has.

"I will not press you to talk about him, but, would you mind telling me what happened?" he asked politely

"He was like a brother to me. We met in first year and we became best friends. Some weeks ago, I got mad at my whole family, more than I always do, and my brother helped my parents with the idea of me finishing school in Beauxbatons. I got mad at everyone and I yelled at him when he said a little thing. I'm really stupid"

"Don't worry. You're not stupid. You were just having a bad time and you got mad at everyone. That can happen to everyone. Just know that you can count on me if you need help" The hufflepuff said with a smile

"Thank you Amos" she replied

They arrived at King's Cross station and she waved goodbye to the boy she'd been with during the way back to London. She also promised him to write during the vacations and he invited her to come over in the second week, so she accepted.

She was walking through the platform when she saw Euphemia and Fleamont Potter.

"Jamie! Sirius!" Euphemia said happily when she greeted the two teenage boys. "Jesica..." she said giving a uncomfortable hug to her

"Mother..." she said with a emotionless face

"I'm glad you're back!" Her mother said looking at the two boys. Jessica got mad but tried not to show it.

Unfortunately, Sirius saw how she was acting and he asked:

"Aren't you happy about Jessica too? She's been really good at DADA and she's also the new PA!" Jessica looked at him with shock. She didn't know why

"I know Sirius. But she doesn't deserve our happiness. She's been really mean to James lately and I don't think we'll forgive her until she starts being kind with him again. She's different since she's a slytherin.

"Stop it!" Jessica yelled "Why are you always caring about a school house? I'm your daughter! You should be happy! I loved you both and I always thought that it was my fault. But I was so wrong. You are judging me because I'm part of slytherin and you think that I bully mudbloods and half-bloods, but that's not true! Did you ever notice that I have two friends who are half-bloods? No. Because you never asked. You never cared! I'm tired of you two thinking that I'm a bad person because of my house" She said and began running away from her parents.

"Where are you going?!" Someone shouted but she ignored it. Then she saw her saviour.

"Amos!" She shouted while wiping her tears off her face.

"Jessie, hi. What happened? Are you ok?" He asked. He was really worried about her

"I fought with my family. Do you think I can stay a couple of days in your house?" She asked

"Absolutely! You can stay the whole break if you need" He told her

"Thank you for the offer, but after this week, I know where I am going" She said smiling

/IN THE POTTER MANOR/

"I can't believe she left like that! Where is she now?!" Fleamont asked

"I think I know where she is" James said looking at the wall

"Where is she, James? We need to find her!" Euphemia said with a very worried face

"She's at Diggory's house" James told his family.

"Who 's Diggory?" Euphemia asked

"He's a Hufflepuff. Sixth year. Half-blood if I'm not wrong" Sirius said

Euphemia and Fleamont shared a confused glance and then Monty talked

"We are going to find her tomorrow and she is coming with us to the ball we've been invited"

Jessica knew she couldn't stay much longer with Amos because her family was going to find her. She thought of a place, but she had no idea how to get 'Accepted there'
