When Jessica Euphemia Potter was sorted into Slytherin, she met a boy named Regulus. They were best friends for almost six years but something separated them. Their futures. The time.
They kept a promise of finding each other when school finished...
"I'm looking for Jessica, have you seen her?" He asked
"I think she's at the lake" James said "Probably with Remus
"Oh, thanks" he said and then left
When Regulus started walking to the lake, he saw Remus and Jessica laughing and eating chocolate with their feet underwater
"Oh- Hi Regulus" Remus said kindly
"Hi" he said
"I'm going to leave you guys. I need to feed the dog- I mean. Wait- Sirius" Remus said nervously and left while Jessica started laughing
"He's obviously going to feed your brother" Jessica laughed
"Yeah" Regulus smiled
"What happened to you at the wedding?" Jessica asked
"Evan was in love with Ambrosia, and he's my best friend" he said
"I talked with Evan at the beginning of the wedding. He said he was sorry and I told him everything was fine"
"It's been a long time and everything has changed. Voldemort died, Severus left us,-" he started saying
"Wait- what? He left? How? Where? Why?" she asked quickly
"Do you remember Lily Evans?" he asked and Jessica shook her head "He was so fucking obsessed with her. When she started dating your brother, he got angry and sad and then he started a whole fight. Finally, Lily broke up with James but when Snape asked her out, she said 'I didn't finish my relationship with James for you to come and ask me out Severus. You're so obsessed' and then Severus got very sad and decided to move to Bulgaria" He said
"For Merlin's sake! That's really... weird? What happened to Evans?" she asked
"Her friends, Marlene and Mary, said that she decided to go back to the muggle world with her family, but no one is sure" Regulus said
"Poor girl" Jessica thought "Why did she break up with James?"
"Because she saw James fighting with Severus at least seven times a day and she got bored and tired of him and his childish way of acting"
"That sounds a lot like James" Jessica laughed
"I missed you 'bestie'" Regulus said laughing remembering the nickname he choose for her some years ago
"I mIsSeD yOu bEsTiE!" she repeated with a dumb tone
"You're so annoying" he said smiling
"Oh shut up" she replied
"Make me" he said still laughing
Jessica wasn't sure about what she was going to do but she decided to get closer to Regulus and kiss him. Then she standed up as fast as she could and got inside the house quickly, leaving a shocked Regulus Black, sitting by the lake.
