The description was the main thing which forced me to read further. Being a 90s kid, I wanted to know how author portrayed that era and the friendship among three.
✑ Cover
Cover was ok, I felt if story revolves around 3 friends then it should be related to that thing only.
✑ Title
It was apt as it said "Hello 1997" so the author totally focused on that era only according to the title.
✑ Prologue/blurb
No prologue was there. It just started with the school and outer life of three friends. In the description, writer only mentioned about them. And I guess, its a short story so, prologue wouldn't be needed in this.
✑ Plot idea
Interesting coz here the author not just focus on the friendship but also showed the crush and love life of the characters. But I felt ending should be more interesting like as the plot revolves among 3 but she just end it with 2.
✑ Description
As I said earlier, I started the story by reading its description so for me, it attracted me.
✑ Character development
Here I didn't find any character development like they were in their school days, later they too were same.
✑ Writing Style
The whole book had been written in hindi. But I feel, if writer only used the hindi language instead if turning hindi words into English, then it would be more interesting.
✑ Suggestions
Firstly, the language I felt, it should be totally in Hindi only coz sometimes we write some Hindi words in english and we didn't get the word correctly which basically broke our flow of reading. Secondly, I felt like, writer didn't get gave much importance to the thrid member of the story. It would be nice if she could have add some moments of his in ending or three friends moments at the end.
✑ Overall review
It was one time read. If you are 90s kid and had crush on some celebrity or your school friend and wanted to live that era again then its my recommendation for you all.
