Lukas POV

-a month later-

"Did you know there's such a thing called cradle cap?" I asked Felix. He wanted to hang out with me. August was at work. I started to read the books my mom gave me.

"No. What is it?" He says, invested in a manga.

"It's a diaper rash. Caused by improper cleaning"

"Yuck" He made a discomforted face.

"There are so many different rashes. I wonder if the baby will be okay when it comes out" I say concerned.

"Don't worry about that. Besides it depends on you and August, right?" He put down his book. I nodded.

"It's our responsibility!" I smiled at him.

"Mhm" He smiled. "I think you'll both make great parents"

"Really?" I wondered, "why?"

"For instance, you, you're very caring, kind and gentle" he complimented me. I'm getting shy. I stayed silent. "August is hard working, loving and patience" He hesitated a bit, "well your both patient. Waiting for each other for years" He chuckled.

"Thank you" I smiled. He really did make me feel better about it.

"Mn" He nodded. Reading his manga again.

A few moments pass by.

"I'm curious. When did you and August have sex?" He asked me. What! Does he always ask everybody this?

"Um. The night we made little pea" I muttered.

"That's it?" He asked, a bit disappointed.

"But it felt amazing. If I could..." I put my hand over my chin.

"If you could?"

"I would relive it again"

"Why don't you? Hasn't it been almost 4 months by now?" He looked dumbfounded. "I mean he's still alive"

"Mn" I nod, "I think August held back. Because I didn't let him go that far twice" I'm a bit ashamed I didn't.

"Do you want to go 'that' far now?" He asks me. I pondered about it. Of course I do. I just don't want to overwhelm him. He's been busy with work recently.

"Yes. I do" I say embarrassed.

"Just communicate with him then" He smiled. "I'm sure he'll accept you" He assured.

"Thank you" I repiled. I could feel faint thumps in my belly. "Felix! The baby is kicking" I say with joy. I gestured for Felix to come here. He placed his hand on my belly.

"Wooahh" He look stunned. A slight thumping was felt. I smiled. I wish August was here. He's going to hate that he missed this. "He's wriggling around inside" He had a big smile on.

I placed my own hand on my belly. Soon. Is all I could think of. Soon I'll be able to bib it. Soon I'll be allowed to help it walk. Feed it. Watch it's first steps.

"Can you get me pickles from the fridge. Please?" I ask Felix. He nodded his head. Looking through the fridge. He looked a bit confused.

"Where?"

"Behind the milk"

"Ah" He picked up the jar, "fork or no?"

"Yes please" smiling, I glanced to Bailey. She was laying down on the couch. She's so cute. I returned to reading the book again.

"Where's the silverware?" He asked. I forgot to tell him. No wonder he looks frantic.

"Top, right drawer" He nodded. He placed the jar in front of me. Handing me the fork.
