August POV

[Calling: Dad]

I waited a few seconds until he answered.

"Hi August!" He said with joy.

"Hi!" I say back. "I called you cause I was wondering if I could get a job at your company?" I asked. My father owns many different companies, I was speaking of his main one. A business company. I'm majoring in business, so why not.

"Why, of course! Why the sudden interest though? You never showed any interest in the company growing up"

It's true. All I cared about was Lukas and graduating on time. I never cared about inheriting his company either, thought it would be too much of a hassle.

"I'm in need of a job. Haah" I said. I need to have a stable income for Lukas and pea.

"Understandable. How is life son?"

"Good. Everything's been so peaceful and nice" I say, enjoying the view outside through the window. The sun just rose. A hue of orange and yellow.

"That's good. I'll set you up for an interview... the day after today?"

"Sounds fine to me" I smiled. "Thank you papa"

"Anything for my boy. You should visit soon"

"I will" Lukas and I have to tell our parents eventually that he's pregnant.

"Your mom told me she put you on a date? Did that go any well?"

"No" I reply.

"Haa. I know it all. She's always bothering you. Deep down she does care"

"If you say so" school will start soon. "Dad, I gotta go. Talk to ya later"

"Love you" He says.

"Love you too" I hanged up on him. Running to get ready before I could be late to class.

Lukas POV

I walked out of the lecture room. I saw that Takashi was waiting for me, maybe? He didn't text me about it.

"Hey" He said.

"Hello. What's up?"

"Nothing. I was just thinking about that dry cleaners" He chuckled a bit. Why does he still care about that?

"It's okay now. I already cleaned the clothes myself" I smile, looking up at him. It has been a few days by now. I could see anger in his eyes.

"I see. I was going to pay though" He said on edge.

"I didn't want to intrude or owe you. Thank you" I say looking away.

"You should've just let me pay!" He almost yelled. Earning a few looks around us.

"Yes. Yes. Next time!" I could feel sweat down my face. This was a bit terrifying. I smiled at him. I saw August ahead.

"Hi August" I say chuckling.

"Hi Luka" He replied. 'His pheromones seem uneasy' August thought to himself. 'Is it him?' He glanced at Takashi.

"Do you want to grab lunch now?" August asked me. I nodded. I walked towards him. But I felt someone grab onto my arm.

"Wait. I'll be here tomorrow, waiting for you" Takashi smiled a bit.

"Thank you, but it's okay. There's no need" I said. August removed his hand from my arm. We walked away and to the cafeteria.
