Winn's Perspective...
I am not sure of the emergency services that the man called but I am extremely worried. This is literally one of the most frighting experiences of my life. I have never been in a car accident and I know Nala is really weak, but there aren't any scratches on her face. I don't see any visible lacerations. "Do you know how long?" I asked the driver and he shrugged his shoulders. I tried to hear her heartbeat but I was overly emotional that I was picking up everything else, the driver's radio, the car's engine, the power running from within the power lines, sirens. Sirens thank Rao. It's not the sirens I'm used to but I am just happy that they don't sound too far. "Hang on. Help is coming." I whispered to her and kissed her on her forehead. When the trucks got closer I noticed that there was a big DEO sticker slapped on the side of the truck. I am even more relived, but I didn't know that it branched out this far. A team of agents placed her on a stretcher, I tried following but another team stopped me and then placed me in these high tech handcuffs that I couldn't break from. "What are you doing?" I asked and another agent gave me a sedative in my neck and I nearly fell over.
Nala's Perspective...
One of my eyes were forced open and I seen a small circle of light. Then it closed, and the other the same. I heard exchanges of the Icelandic language, and I realized that I don't hear Winn's voice at all. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. I was hooked up to a machine, my body felt terrible, and heavy but I didn't care. I fought to sit up and the people in the van forced me back down.
"No." I said and fought against them.
"Nala please lay back." One person said.
"No I need to find," My head began to hurt and my vision was going dark, "I need to find fin-." Was the last thing I said before completely passed out They began talking yet again in their language.
Winn's Perspective...
I woke up in scrubs, I was feeling a little disoriented. Then I remembered the car accident, "Where's my wife?" I asked.
"Easy Winslow. She's alright." The agent said.
"But where is she?" I asked him.
"Getting the needed yellow energy." He said as he then pressed a button on the remote and the cell door opened. "Please have a seat." I walked over and I sat down. "So you are a meta, how has that been?"
"A nightmare sometimes, other times it has been great." I said.
"We can teach you how to control it. I am Director Hunter." He said extending his hand to me, I shook it and he stood up.
"How?" I asked.
"A few simple tests. And by the time you are finished you and Nala will be able to go back to the cabin." He said.
"How'd you?" I asked.
"Well for starters, we are linked with our fellow department in the U.S. secondly former Director J'onn sent us an email. We are always watching." He said.
"Not creepy at all. But can you please tell me what happened to Nala?" I asked.
"Well being that her powers thrive off of the yellow sun, being here without that energy kind of made her wilt, like a flower on the inside. So the crash just made her body shut down in a protective mode, she did however begin to lose some blood due to an upper laceration on her right arm. You probably didn't notice the blood stain on your shirt or pants." He said.
"Yeah." I said sheepishly.
"Well let's get training." He said.
