A Test of Trust

Kaya and Trent were upstairs while others were talking about Kaya and Trent. Kaya looked at Trent and take his hand in her hand. Trent looked at Kaya. Kaya smiled softly at Trent.

"I know you are scared about what others are going to do," Kaya said, "I just keep hoping that Tommy let us explain why we kept this secret from others."

"Yeah but I'm scared of your brother," Trent said.

"I know. He may be the oldest Ranger but he has the right to tell us if we need to give up the morpher or not," Kaya said.

Trent nodded and hugs Kaya by thanking her for standing by his side and keeping the secret for so long. Kaya smiled softly at Trent. Then Tommy came upstairs from the Dino Lab to get Kaya and Trent.

"Kaya, Trent, we are ready for you," Tommy said.

Trent and Kaya nodded and went to follow Tommy back to the Dino Lab. They can hear the conversations between the Rangers about the time they first became Rangers. Then they were talking about the time when Trent had been taken over by the With Dino Gem, and fossilized Tommy in an amber casing.

"Look, he was under the Gem's spell. It's different now!" Kira argued with the Red Ranger.

"Yeah, now he forgets to tell us that Mesogog is his dad!" Connor snapped back before muttered, "Glad he's changed..."

"I made a promise!" Trent said as he was walking toward the Rangers, with Tommy and Kaya following.

"What about your promise to us?" Connor growled as the Rangers stood up.

"I never let my feelings get in the way of my Ranger duties!" Trent argued back, frowning at the Red Ranger.

"That may be true, Trent, but you've put us in a difficult position," Tommy told Trent sadly, "Connor may be right. I just don't know how we can ever trust you again. That especially you, Sis, since you kept this from us too."

"Tell me what I can do to make this right," Trent pleaded with his friends as he stood facing them, "I make no excuses for the harm I've caused, but things haven't been easy for me."

"Hey, I'm looking for Hayley? I'm supposed to start work today," the teen said to the Rangers, and Kira kept her head low while Ethan looked up quickly.

"She's around here somewhere. Haven't I seen you at Reefside?" Ethan asked curiously.

"Yeah, I just moved here last week," Trent smiled at Ethan, "My name's Trent."

"I never meant to find the White Dino Gem," Trent told them of how he stumbled across an Invisiportal in Anton's office, "It found me. I tried to fight it, but the power was too strong."

Trent hated how he had acted when under the power of the Dino Gem and remembered many times when trying to get Kaya to join him or hitting on her even he found out that she has a soulmate.

After Trent was free by the power of the Dino Gem, Anton save Trent before holding his head in pain.

"You both need to get out of here," Anton said.

"No, I can help," Trent said.

"No! I'm gonna find a way to stop this. Until I do, I want you to go and use your powers for something good," Anton said as he was holding onto the chair.

"Trent, your father is right. Until then, we have to fight against Mesogog so the people can feel safe around us," Kaya said.

"Ok. I won't tell them your secret, Dad. I promise," Trent promised.
