The Hyrulean Army was preparing to leave Gerudo Town, the war was finally over, Hyrule was victorious. The Gerudo soldiers were captured and were being taken in cages. The town's banners and flags were replaced by the Hylian Crest.

Link and Zelda came down to the courtyard, holding each other's hand and smiling. Dan, Liam and Aya came over to them. On seeing them holding hands, Liam laughed, "Finally!" Zelda could only blush a little as Link's grin grew wider.

"Jorulph, are we ready to leave?" said Zelda as she saw her General.
"Almost Your Highness, there is only the question of who will directly rule Gerudo Town now, they will be a Hyrulean province, but I think we should elect a Gerudo leader for them so the civilians trust the new reign faster."

"I agree, do we know any Gerudo who are faithful to Hyrule?"
"It seems as during Ganondorf's rule a young Gerudo called Urbosa led the rebellion from inside the town, we found her in the dungeons. Most people trust and respect her but were too scared of Ganondorf to help her."

"She sounds like a good candidate, I'll meet with her later."
"Yes Your Highness." Jorulph bowed and went to talk to Urbosa.

"Well Your Highness, should we leave?" said Link while kissing her on the cheek.
"Shouldn't we wait for the oth-"

"They'll be fine, come on let's go!" Link started running towards the horses.
Zelda laughed, "Oh alright!" and ran after him.

They mounted Epona and rode off into the sunrise.

Several months later
Hyrule Castle

Queen Zelda just finished with her last council meeting for the day. Since the war had ended, she had to catch up on all the administerial decisions she had missed, so she had been swamped since getting back to Hyrule Castle. She headed back to her room where she found Link reading inside.
Link, he had been her anchor through everything. Since coming back, their relationship had blossomed, they had both been their for each other, and their love was greater than ever. Link had restored the Sheikah back to their great stature. Kakariko had been rebuilt, this time closer to Castle Town. Link had tried to relinquish his Terminian title, but his adoptive father didn't accept it. He told him that he still wanted him to be his heir, even if he has to merge the Sheikah and Termina, Link was deeply moved by this.

"Hey Zel!"
Zelda collapsed on the bed.
"I'm exhausteddddd." Her voice was muffled through the pillows.
"Aww come here." Link started massaging her legs, "Feeling better?"
"Loads, thanks."

"You're so tense Zel, they're overworking you."
"Well you know what they say, 'Heavy lies the head that wears the crown.'"
"You really need a break..." Link stopped for his moment, his eyes seemed to flash, as if he had just had an Idea.

"You know what, clear your schedule tomorrow."
"What? Link you know I can't do that, there's so much to do, I still have to-"
"You trust me right?"
"More than I trust myself."
Link smiled, "Well then just don't worry about anything. Wake up whenever you want tomorrow, I have something planned."

"Aw don't leave me in suspense like that, c'mon, tell meeeee."
"Now where'd be the fun in that love." He kissed her forehead.
"Now sleep, you'll find out tomorrow."
Zelda snuggled up against him, putting her head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around her, and could already hear her snoring.
Link chuckled, and closed his eyes too. Tomorrow was a big day.
