Peter sighed. He was bored. His sudden return on the internet had his phone buzzing like a fangirl over fluff at 3am with the demons reading over their shoulder. Needless to say, it was basically on rapid fire.

Flash had gone to school and told Peter to stay home. Peter would have gone, but he wanted to get better as soon as he could so he could hang out with Tony again, and not raise suspicion in the process.

Trouble was, being home alone was so much more boring than he'd imagined.

Most of the time when he was "staying home", he was either doing something completely unrelated to home whatsoever (Spider-Man), or May had him doing some prep-work for some of her friends to hang out. It was only every couple of months though since they lived pretty far out. Peter mostly just cleaned anyways, so he didn't really care.

He also didn't really care about missing school to clean for them though, because some of the dudes she had over were pretty chill. Sure, he didn't know what they were up to or whatever, but this one dude, Sergei (who'd she'd described as their ride) was a really cool Russian dude who was probably the best at making things seem fine when they weren't.

Not in the normal sense would assume from reading that sentence though. Sergei was insane. The ride he'd given had really explained what they meant by ride when referring to him.

Sergei once offered to give Peter a ride to school, and Peter would never forget that day for the rest of his life. It was more terrifying than jumping off of a building. Although.. that analogy doesn't work so well since that's basically Peter's normal night.. he jumps off of roofs more than he sleeps.

Anyways, Sergei somehow managed to make a 1 hour and 9 minute drive narrow down to less than forty-five. How you may ask?

Breaking laws.

Breaking so many laws.

Peter didn't know how he did it, but Sergei managed to make it the whole way and not get pulled over once (at least by not getting caught to be able to) by a cop, and his taste in music was phenomenal.

So yes, Peter was terrified. Yes, he would never do it again. And YES, he, to this day, has no idea how it was done, but Peter had to admit that amongst nearly hitting more pedestrians than any speedy car race movie, and passing almost every red light they came across, he found it astounding that they'd made it there not just alive, but unscathed and early.

Also, Peter had gotten some weird coded contact thing from that guy. He said if Peter was ever late somewhere again, just give Sergei a call and he'd get him or have a contact do so. Also a discount on hotels. Again, really cool dude.

The best part of the whole ordeal though was Sergei's attitude. The whole time he was giving Peter reassurances like "it is okay" "we are fine" "don't worry" "I will get you there, little child", all while pulling some Fast n Furious swerves on the Long Island Expy on the 495.

Peter laughed at the memory. He didn't even know why he remembered that dude's name, they had only met once. Maybe it was just one of those things, like he remembered the name of the first dude who sold them their first house was named Bob Chalnca. Peter was like 2 then. It's insane what one's head picks up like that.

The unfathomably tired teen pondered on what more things to think about. Thrilling stories about Russian crazy car dudes were fun and all, but Peter had no idea where to go from here. Like, physically. He couldn't just stay at Flash's place forever, that was (on top of being super weird) probably weighing on Flash's daily life. Plus, Reginald most likely had to do twice the work now that Peter was here.

But where would he go? Where could he go?

Peter sighed. He stood up and made his way out of the room. It hurt to walk, yes, but it was better than sitting still and pulling his hair out from a painful lack of activities to engross himself in.
