50.) A Sixth Time Split

"Mr. Sasuke, where are we?" Boruto feels tension in the air. It was night and the floor was a hard tan rock. The earth suddenly shook. Both shinobi struggle to keep their footing and with the belief of an Otsutsuki invasion, they quickly ran to find a familiar large creature.

"I think I have an idea now." Sasuke finally responds.

After freezing the whole of Konoha village, Boruto sat on the ground, chakra-deprived, next to a boy holding a baby and a man with a familiar symbol on his shoulder.

"Now will you tell me where we're at?" Sasuke sighs.

"Yes. This is the day your father was born. I'm sure you know what happened this night." Boruto only nods and smiles.

"If father was born today, then where were you, Mr. Sasuke?" Sasuke only looks towards his father and his brother holding the familiar baby and half chuckles to himself.

"I'm sure you'll figure it ou-"

"-wait." Boruto interrupts. "If today is father's birthday, why don't I feel him? Our chakras are comparable. We can even form a whole rasengan together. I know when he isn't in a village or not and I can guarantee he isn't here." Sasuke froze.

"I'll check." He said and launched from the ground to check around the village.

Himawari arrived to give her brother more chakra. The sealing team of Konohamaru, Hiruzen, Tobirama and Hashirama also just showed up. The teams prepare to seal and move on to the next when Sasuke arrives, stopping everything.

"What's wrong?" The first asks.

"Naruto isn't here." Sasuke simply says.

"Of course not, I mean he's headed to the Southeastern po-" The first tries to joke.

"No you imbecile. He. Isn't. Here. This is the day Naruto was born and baby Naruto isn't anywhere. I checked the location of Kushina Uzumaki, Obito Uchiha and the fourth hokage. NARUTO. ISN'T. HERE." Sasuke forces the point.

"Do you think one of the Otsutsukians came and stole Naruto?" The second asks.

"That's exactly what I'm thinking." Sasuke says. "Spread the news, if anything happens to that baby, we lose everything."

"Wait... if father as a baby dies then that means that me and Himawari wouldn't exist. Saruto wouldn't exist either." Boruto mentions.

"Your father made a huge impact in this world—larger than anyone else, I'm sure. The world would not be the same as it is now. Let's get through the last dimension as soon as possible and group. Quickly!" Sasuke orders.

The fifth portal was southeast of Karasuki. This one was much simpler to seal and it made a lot of sense why the Otsutsukians would choose this time era. After sealing, Boruto sat shyly on the ground, looking up at a younger self being protected behind his father and the chunin exams proctor, Rock Lee. It had just been revealed to the crowd that he was cheating and Momoshiki, his father and the third Otsutsuki, Urashiki, had arrived in the exam arena.

"Let's get out of here." Boruto shakingly says as he absorbed chakra from Himawari for the last time.

"Hold on." Sasuke says as he listened into his earpiece. "ANBU just told me that a new portal formed close to the Katsuya location. We can use that area as a meeting place after we seal it." He says, speaking into the device on his wrist.

"Let's go?" Boruto gets up. "We'll meet you there, Hima."

The newly opened portal was directly south of Karasuki.

Boruto and Sasuke arrived in the broken dirt patch created by the planetary devastation to find a portal expanded to the size of a sixteen ft high and wide block.

Once Boruto entered, he shivered once again. It was the nine-tails chakra but it gave off a different feeling from what he felt in the fourth great ninja war and his father's birthday. The portal led them behind what Boruto only figured out as the chunin exams arena.

He and his father-in-law entered through the entrance that leads to the stadium to find themselves in a semi-silent and still environment of people.

"Wha-" Boruto tries.

"Shh." Sasuke shushes. "Observe." Boruto nods and looks around as the pair walk down the small stairs.

"Only a very small percentage are chosen to be hokage. Look more at reality! It's determined by destiny." Says a familiar voice from the bottom of the arena, in the battle area. Was that...? Boruto had recognized the voice from the first time he  traveled through time with his mentor.
Boruto then looks down into the battle area. Who's he battling?

Just then, four men in black clothing and animal masks surround Boruto and Sasuke.
