chapter 22

I feel so sick.

After Riley's confession, I can't eat. The fact that my sister is being physically hurt and I can't do anything about it, it's just killing me inside. I lied to my parents and told them I wasn't feeling well so I skipped dinner and went upstairs to lay down and think.

It has been 10 minutes and all I can think about it's Riley. It's one of those things I can't stop thinking about no matter how hard I try. I tried taking my mind off Riley and wondered off into my wardrobe to pick an outfit for Isaac's party tomorrow night. I scrambled through the new pile of clothes I have made, trying to find the perfect outfit. I was in the middle of admiring a baby blue crop top when my phone started buzzing. I get up and saw Gemma's contact name flashing repetitively on the screen. I picked up my phone and answered:
"Hey Gem, what's up"- L
"Lexi, thank god you answered"-G
"Gemma, what's wrong"- L
"I need you to talk to you"-G
"Uhhh, okay about what tho"- L
"Ummm...Harry?!?"-G

I choked on my own breathe. She knows what happened the other night in the winery. I'm dead. I hope she hasn't told my parents. Dear god, what would they say. They think I'm there perfect little angel. Pfft please.

"Lexi, you still there"-G
"Sorry Gem, yeah I'm still here. What's wrong with Harry??"- L
"Well, it's just lately he hasn't been able to stop talking about you. I don't think my parents have noticed but I have. But he mentioned to me something about a guy named Isaac who is bad news and is going to hurt you"- G

I laughed a loud. Please if anyone was gonna hurt me, it would be Harry Styles himself.

"Really"- L
"Yeah..."- G
"Well Isaac is fine. He is a gentle soul and wouldn't hurt a fly so no need to worry about that"- L
"Mmmm....I don't know Lex"- G
"Gemma, seriously he is fine. Harry is just being over dramatic as usual and is trying to ruin my life once again. I am fine. Harry is just being usual Harry and trying to mess up my chance with a guy I think is boyfriend material"- L

I felt kinda bad for talking about Harry like that to his sister but all he was trying to do was get involved with something that isn't worth him getting involved in. Right?!?

"Alright Lex, but just be careful"-G
"Why"-L
"Because when has Harry ever cared so much about you before in your life"-G
