Jade

I woke up the next morning not really knowing where I was. It took me a second to remember I was in Tori Vega's house. I remember now. I'm back in LA with my friends and Tori offered to let me sleep on her couch.

I could just leave right now. I could step away from all of my feelings of regret and just feelings in general. But I missed her. And it's not like I can fly home right now, and it's not like I can hide from her for the remaining few weeks of my trip to LA. And I wanna stay. For good.

But I can't. I have a job to get back to, a life in New York that proves better than my life in LA. All except one thing, that thing being Tori Vega. It hurts to admit it...but it doesn't. Old high school me would think that way. But I'm adult me now. And I do think that way. I would say the highlight of my life is working on my movies. But coming back here made me realize that something--someone--was maybe the real highlight.

"Hey Jade." Tori said walking sleepily to the kitchen and taking me out of my thought s.

"Morning Tori."

"Glad to see you stayed this time." She joked.

"Yeah...about that..."

"Don't stress about it Jade. It's in the past."

"I'm still sorry."

"Jade...do you want breakfast?" She changed the subject. Maybe she wasn't ready to talk about that night which was fin with me.

"Sounds great." I told her, assuming we would go out.

"Alright...eggs, toast...pancakes...EW!" She turned away from the fridge after listing everything.

"Uh...you okay Tori?"

"Yeah, just the thought of eating eggs or bacon is making me feel nauseous." Tori replied coming to sit down on the couch next to me.

"You feeling okay?" I asked her. "Anything I can do to make you feel better?"

"No, it's okay. My stomach has been weird for a while now. It's terrible.

"Maybe you should go to the doctor." I suggested. "I'll take you."

"I'm fine. But can we go get some hashbrowns?" She asked.

"Uh sure?"

"Alright cool. There's this really cool place down the street." She told me. "I'm going to go get changed."

"I'm going to go get my stuff from my rental car." I said as I headed out the door. There's definitely something up with Tori, and I might have a hunch what's up.
