Chapter 15: Found

Pagkatapos ng sagutan namin nila Rianne at Ainslee sa kwarto, napagpasyahan kong umalis muna doon at maglakad-lakad upang makapagmuni-muni.

Ang paalam ko lang kay Cynce ay pupunta ako sa may dalampasigan pero nagtuloy-tuloy lang ako sa paglalakad ng hindi alam kung saan ang patutunguhan. Gusto ko munang mapag-isa, pagnilay-nilayin ang mga ginawa ko sa buhay. Ngunit habang inaalala ko ang mga iyon, mas lalo ko lang napagtatanto kung gaano nga ako nagbago tulad ng sinabi ni Cynce.

My experiences and sufferings made me this way, a total different of who I am previously. It molded me into something awful. My mother was right, my trail was full of hardships that will devastate my whole being. She always says that everything will be alright but when it will happen?

Is it wrong to lose hope and just give up?

Is it wrong to think about myself first before anybody else?

I still can't face the race I belonged without reminiscing what they did to me back then. Maybe the scars in my body were already gone but not the scar they instilled in my heart. It will forever be engraved in my being.

I wanted to think that they're different now after hundreds of years. But I know it's not.

I've killed hundreds of angels back then, when I was consumed by my wrath, angels who did nothing but to stop me from resisting to be imprisoned again. Angels who follow the ones who killed my family, letting them to deceive and control them without realizing it.

I've already stained my hands with blood, blood of my own kind. And it scares me to death. It terrifies me to think that I have killed not just one but hundreds of them and I could do that all over again if I lose control in myself.

I arrived at the rugged cliff, with the chilly whistles of wind that sways my dress and hair. It's the same location I stopped over when everybody's searching for me, the same location where I restored my power and wings. Just at the bottom of the cliff, I could see the silhouette of the small house owned by Cynce. A perfect destination for a peace of mind.

I sat in the grass while fixing my eyes upon the lovely scenery of small diamonds twinkling in the dark sky. Even in darkest time, there are still faint light of hope glimmering, telling us that this is not the end of everything and we still have our chance to shine.

Stars only gleam their light when darkness came, where they will conquer the gloominess and turned it into something exquisite.

I stayed in this peaceful place, completely laying down in the grasses while covering my eyes with my arms. With the fresh salty air, faint light from the starry sky and soft whistle of sirens from the different animals inside the forest behind me.

Kanina, nalaman ko mula kay Cynce na halos mag-iisang buwan na akong walang malay kung hindi pa ako nagising ngayon. Ito rin ang syang dahilan kung bakit matagal gumaling ang mga sugat ko, dahil kusa itong gumagaling sa taglay kong kapangyarihan. Masaya akong bumalik na muli ang mga pakpak ko, ngunit hindi ko maiwasang alalahanin ang mga pangyayari noon, ang naging dahilan upang mawala ito saakin sa unang pagkakataon.

"Hindi ka na dapat pang nabuhay sa mundong ito. Hindi ikaw ang balanse na syang tinutukoy sa propesiya dahil ikaw ang sumira sa balanse ng mga anghel, kayo ng kapatid mo. Kung hindi dahil sainyo, hindi sana mangyayari ang kaguluhang ito."

Iniwasiwas nya ang kanyang espadang punong-puno ng dugo papunta saakin. Napahawak nalang ako sa tiyan ko ng matamaan ako ng mapwersa nyang atake na naging dahilan upang mapaluhod ako sa sakit at sa pagod. Mula sa pagkakayuko, inangat ko ang aking mukha upang tingnan sya nang may pagkasuklam sa kabila ng nanlalabo kong paningin dahil sa dugong umaagos mula sa ulo ko.
