Chapter 6

A few days later after the date...

"Hey Touka-chan, have you heard? There's this news going around that a ghoul is killing other ghouls and eating them."

"Well yeah. I saw the news on the television. Not that I care, if that ghoul is killing other harmful ghouls, then the world will be a better place."

"What are your thoughts on that, Kaneki-kun?"

Kaneki stiffened and stopped wiping the cup in his hands. "Uh well I don't see a problem with it. Then if there's nothing to do here, I'll go check the shop stock supply." He disappeared into the back of the shop.

"Hmm suspicious..." Koma rubbed his chin.

"So kuso Touka, what did you and Kaneki do on your first date on Saturday?" Nishiki smirked.

"Like I'd tell you something like that." She rolled her eyes. She stopped arranging the utensils.

-Flash back-

Touka blushed.

"Ah! Something happened between the two of you right? I knew it!" Nishiki snorted.

"Shut up you idiot." Touka glared at him.

The golden bell rings and someone walks in.

"Ah, welc-" Touka stopped when she saw him.

It was Nagachika Hideyoshi, Kaneki's best friend.

"Hey Touka-chan! Have you seen Kaneki? I'm missing him a lot! He suddenly upped and disappeared!"

Before Touka could reply, Kaneki came out. "Hey Touka-chan, could you help me check-" He noticed Touka staring and looked in the direction she was staring. His eyes widened. "H-Hide! W-What are you doing here?" Kaneki took one step back.

"Kaneki!" He ran to Kaneki and shook him back and forth. "Where have you been?! When rabbits get lonely, they die you know?! And what's with your hair? You styling it up?"

"Sorry Hide. Uhh I kinda went out of the country for a while. For my hair, I dyed it. Thought it would be nice to change my appearance. Now can you stop shaking me? I'm going to.."

Hide stopped shaking Kaneki. "Hmm really?" He pouted. He seemed unsatisfied with Kaneki's answer but didn't probe deeper.

"Hey hey Touka-chan! Would you go on a date with me?"

"H-Huh? What's with you all of a sudden?" Touka was surprised.

"I can't let you do that, Hide. Touka-chan's now mine."

"Hey! Who's yours? I'm not an object!"

-Koma in the background-

"Ahh, Youth..."

"But you're my girlfriend. Doesn't that make you mine?" Kaneki looked puzzled.

"Oh-ho? I see you guys finally got together." Hide smirked.

"Yeah. Because I don't want to regret anymore." Kaneki gave a sad smile.

"Great! So now I can tease you guys! Oops look at the time! I'm late for class! So Kaneki if you're coming to university, tell me anytime!" With that, Hide took his bag and ran out of the shop.

"I won't be going back to university, Hide..." Kaneki mumbled.

-Time Skip At Night 11pm-

Touka is studying in her room. BANG! She got startled by a loud sound coming from her balcony door. She decided to ignore it but another sound came. She stood up from her chair, walked to the balcony and pulled the curtains away. She gasped.

"Kaneki?!" Touka could see lots of blood dripping onto the floor. She quickly unlocked her balcony door. Kaneki fell into her arms the moment the door opened. "Touka-chan..." He could hear Touka saying his name over and over but couldn't gather the energy to reply as his vision was getting blurrer.

! Kaneki's POV !

"AH!" I shouted and my eyes shoot open. I shot up straight in bed. "Hah hah hah..." I panted. I felt a sharp pain as I leaned on the wall beside the bed. Then I looked down at my body. My shirt was off and my body was covered in bandages. That's right... I was being chased by Doves and I got injured. What happened after that? Whose room is this? It's not mine... I looked around the room and I noticed the door opening.

"Kaneki? Are you feeling better?" Touka walked towards me. She stretched her hand out. I grabbed it and pulled it towards me and hugged her. "K-Kaneki, your injuries!" I squeezed her as my wounds started hurting. After all, a quinque did stab me. But it didn't really matter as I really wanted to hug her.

After 5 mins, I released Touka. "What happened?"

"I...I went out to eat and Doves caught me. They slashed me in the back. Touka-chan, you helped me with the bandages?"

"I see. Yes, I did. Be careful next time. You really scared the shit out of me."

"Mmm.. Hey Touka-chan, can I stay here for tonight?"

"H-HUH WHY WOULD I?! A guy and a girl in a room. That's.." Touka stopped and blushed when she realized what she was saying.

I took a while to comprehend what she was saying. I grinned. "Touka-chan, so you're in the mood to do that?"

"HAH?! NO!" She blushed furiously. So cute. I pushed her onto the bed and hovered over her. I closed the gap between us and landed my lips on hers. Ouch... My wounds hurt but just a while more... When our lips separated, she looked pissed.

"Eh? Why are you angry?"

"You idiot." She hit my head. "Your health is more important than this isn't it?!"

"S-Sorry.. I just had to.."

Touka sighed. "Fine. You can sleep here for tonight. I'll take the couch. You're injured."

"But I don't want you sleeping on the couch... I can take the couch."

"Damn you're persistent. Fine I'll take the bed but if you feel pain anywhere tell me and I'll switch with you." Touka gave up arguing with me.

"Okay." I beamed and walked to the couch.

Touka went to take a pillow and blanket then passed it to me. She turned off the light, laid down in bed and pulled the blankets over her.

"Good night."

-Next Morning-

Touka's eyes cracked open as the sunlight seeped into her room. She felt a warm breath on her neck and jumped out of bed, hissing at the person who was in her bed.

Her eyes widened. "Kaneki?"

"Nnnn... Huh Touka-chan? Why are you out of the bed? Come back here." Kaneki said sleepily as he stretched his arms out.

"Why are you in my bed?!"

"Ah because I felt cold last night so I climbed into bed with you. Is that wrong?"

"It's wrong in every way." She folded her arms.

"Jeez we didn't do anything so don't have to be so fierce.. Come back inside the bed with me?" I asked again.

"No."

"Haha that's mean. Fine then I'll take you by force." I activated my Kakugan and brought out my Kagune then chased Touka around the room with it. "Hey you're cheating!" Touka shouted as she ran around her room. "Haha." I laughed.

I then caught Touka with my Kagune. She struggled to break free but couldn't as my Kagune gripped onto her. I wrapped my arms around her as she landed in my arms then I released my Kagune.

"Tch."

I went down to her neck and sniffed her. "B-Baka what are you doing?" Touka attempted to push me away but failed. "I like how you smell, Touka-chan." Her cheeks turned pink. "You idiot..."
