Kaneki's Suffering

Chapter 7

"Tsukiyama-san you're not going easy on me, are you?" Kaneki asked as he attacks Tsukiyama.

"And what if I am, Kaneki-kun?" Tsukiyama answers as he dodges Kaneki's attacks.

Kaneki lunged forward and punched Tsukiyama's stomach, sending him flying to the wall. "Dolce!"

"This will happen if you go easy on me."

"I see, if that's the case then I will not hold back anymore. Prepare yourself Kaneki-kun!!!" Tsukiyama shouted as he dashed towards Kaneki with his Kagune.

They continued training with their fists and legs until about 1 hour later.

"Still what is the point in doing this?" Tsukiyama asked out of curiosity.

"To protect my loved ones." Kaneki said as he wiped his sweat away with a towel.

"Oh? Like Touka?"

Kaneki smiled. "Yeah. I don't want to lose her."

"Don't worry your secret's safe with me."

"Thank you Tsukiyama-san."

- Anteiku -

"Where's onii-chan?" Hinami asked.

"He's off today Hinami." Touka answered.

"Aww.. I wanted him to teach me how to write..."

Touka thought for a while. "Why don't I ask Onii-chan if he can come here and teach you?"

"Yay! Thank you Onee-chan!"

- Touka call Kaneki's phone -

Ring. Ring. The phone is currently unavailable. Please call again later.

That's weird. Kaneki rarely misses his calls. I guess he's busy...

- Meanwhile with Kaneki... -

"Hello, Yoshimura-san. This may be weird to ask but is it possible to mix a half ghoul and ghoul?"

"It is possible but Kaneki-kun you need to eat more human meat to make the chances higher."

"But I didn't-" "I know you and Touka are dating and eventually will do that. Good luck."

Kaneki blushed. "T-Thank you." He puts down the phone.

- At Night -

Touka went out to hunt. She wore her rabbit mask with her pink wig and a hoodie and shorts. She walked around looking for a victim to prey on but heard a screaming sound.

"ARHHHHH!!!"

"What's that?" Touka walked closer to the screaming.

"Hah hah... ARGHHH!" From the screaming, Touka could tell it was a guy's.

She walked into an abandoned warehouse and saw him. Kaneki.

His Kakuhou and Kagune was out but the strange thing is that his mask was different. It had a triangle shape. He had 2 Kagunes, one of them has a centipede like shape and the other one was his usual tentacle like shape Kagune.

He was screaming and he crashed to the ground in agony. He clutched his head and keep screaming. His centipede-like Kagune kept coming in and out of his back.

He then stopped clutching his head after 5 minutes. He stood up and laughed. "1000 minus 7... M-Mother... Touka-chan..."

Both of his Kagune then went berserk and started hitting the abandoned warehouse's pillars, the debris around him, just everything.

Touka slowly walked towards him. "Kaneki... Do you remember me? I'm Touka."

Kaneki took a step back.

"Kaneki, you asked me out didn't you? And I agreed, remember? " Touka took a few more steps towards him.

Kaneki stood still.

"Touka? Who's Touka?" He held his head in his hands and looked down.

"Try to remember." She was now standing very close to him.

"I don't know.. I don't know.. I don't remember!" Kaneki used his Kagune and stabbed Touka in the stomach.

Touka coughed blood out. Lots of blood. She cupped his cheeks and gave a sad smile. "I'm Touka."

"Touka...Touka... Touka... Touka-chan?" Kaneki's sclera turned back to white and his iris to grey. His mask and Kagune also disappeared. He was back to his normal self.

Tears welled up in his eyes and started flowing down his cheeks as he saw the scene before him. "T-Touka-chan..." His Kagune disappeared and Touka's knees gave away and she dropped to the ground.

Kaneki kneeled down. "Touka-chan! Touka-chan!" He shook her. No response. He started panicking. "What should I do?"

He looked around. "Ah she needs blood!" He used his Kagune to cut a line on his wrist and he dripped the blood into Touka's mouth. As her face color started to look better, Kaneki stopped dripping blood into her mouth, picked her up and ran back to Anteiku.

Touka-chan, we're reaching. Hang in there!

He jumped up to Touka's balcony as it was the fastest way and kept hitting the balcony door and shouting for Hinami to get her to notice and open it.

Hinami walked past Touka's room and heard the banging sound and out of curiosity, went in and saw Kaneki carrying Touka on his back. "Onii-chan and Onee-chan?" Then she saw blood.

She hurriedly opened the balcony door and Kaneki brought Touka in, placing her gently on the floor. "Hinami get the first aid kit quick!" Hinami ran to get the first aid kit.

Kaneki looked at Touka. "I'm sorry... Touka-chan.. I'll have to take off your clothes.." He removed her clothes and tried not to look at her body while he cleaned the blood away and wrapped bandages around the wound.

"Onii-chan, will Onee-chan be okay?"

"Yeah she will. I'm sorry Hinami it's all my fault..."

Hinami wanted to ask why but she saw him with his sorrowful eyes and stopped.

Kaneki was done wrapping the bandages. Then he helped Touka wear a shirt. "Hinami thanks. I'll be staying over tonight in Touka's room to take care of her. You can go sleep now. I'll just sleep on the floor."

"Okay." Hinami left the room.

Kaneki carried Touka to her bed and placed her down. He pulled the blankets over her and just sat there and stared at her face. Touka's face contorted with pain. She looks like she's in so much pain... It's all my fault...

He caressed her cheeks and ran his fingers through her hair.

- 2 days later -

"Nnn... " Touka mumbled. She woke up and sat up. Ouch it hurts... What happened? I felt like I slept for quite a long time...

At that moment, Irimi came into Touka's room. "Ah you're up! Do you need anything?"

"Irimi-san, what happened?"

"Kaneki-kun brought you back, injured and you slept for 2 days straight. He was really worried, you know. He never left your side."

"... Where is he now?"

"He's downstairs working. I forced him to if not he'll literally rot here in your room. Do you want me to call him? His shift will be ending soon."

"Oh it's alright. Tell him to come up when his shift is over. Thanks Irimi-san."

"No problem." Irimi went back down.

- 15 mins later -

Kaneki stood at Touka's door. "Touka-chan."

Touka looked up.

"Kaneki."
