I've seen you cry before.
I've seen you break down, release ravens and crows upon the world, and take every day with a long-trailing stride.
I've seen you laugh before.
I've seen your smile widen the horizons, outshining the sun whilst holding the moon and stars to fight off the darkness.
And I've seen you before.
How you dance in front of a mirror to scare away your own wilting reflection of broken vows and his episodes of misdemeanor.
But I've never seen this before.
This raging emptiness lifting the veil between some old plants and your choking in the confines of a failed marriage.
And in all the states you've been in, I've known what to do.
But this feeling of entrapment, your feeling of life enclosing itself on you and swallowing you into what could have been but wasn't,
This is different.
For once, I don't know what to do.
For once, I just watch you
And cry.
