"There Will be Days"

There will be days when you're no longer a thought but a memory.

There will be days when hearing you speak won't be a dagger to my ears.

There will be days when seeing you will not feel like someone ripped out my heart and replaced it with a ticking box.

There will be days when I laugh at how I loved you.

There will be days when I realize that I'm better off without you.

There will be days when I realize the glow-up you had was only on the outside, and you remain a damaged boy who uses weed to run away rather than face his issues.

There will be days I can flat out call you stupid and not feel guilty.

There will be days I will not care that what we had is gone.

There will be days when your brown hair and long eyelashes won't remind me how we missed the future in a fraction of a second.

There will be days I realize the gravity of our situation wasn't so much gravity but more a force that pushed us together like magnets.

There will be days I'm happy we no longer are and proud we were.

There will be days I love you, but those days I have to remember,

that there will be days.
