There's little people in this world that can take Jungkook out of his comfort zone. And one of them is Kim Namjoon. There's been many years since the older asked him to be his friend. And he's the reason Jungkook tried to socialize for once. That way, he made friends who are coincidentally the same his brother has.
The day Namjoon left them behind felt like a punch to the face. Sure, they could talk every now and then through the phone. The time difference made it each time harder for them. But no matter how little communication they had the last four years, the younger is exited to see him again.
- And then I did a photography workshop, where I met Taehyung. I haven't really done anything else after that. But Yoongi keeps insisting I should work with him!
Namjoon smiles. He's been hearing his complaints and anecdotes for a few hours now. And he has no problem in keep going this way. He also missed him.
- And I'm guessing you have no intention in doing that
- Not really...You're not gonna ask me to grow up, will you?
- Hahaha I would never. We all have our own timing
- Yeah...I guess so...
- You don't sound convinced about it
- Ugh, it's just...I don't know what to do. It's not that I don't wanna go out but what's the point? I hate working inside an office! But...I don't love working anywhere else. I feel useless most of the time...
- Hey, don't worry Kook. It's not easy finding the course we want to take in our life. I would dare to say your brother is as lost as you
Jungkook doubts it. Yes, he knows there's something else that makes his brother happy. But he left that hobbie years a go and he's not gonna change his life now.
- Well, I don't wanna end up like him. He works a lot and I haven't seen him honestly smile in years. Not about his job at least
- I don't think you'll be like him at all. I see you're trying new things a lot. Did you find something you like?
Kim Taehyung, he thinks.
- N-Not really - he goes red - Let's change the subject hahaha
- But you said
- Why are you marrying someone else?
The question catches Namjoon off guard. The younger simply wants to change the focus of attention before he accidentally mentions his latest obsession with a stripper. And what better way than by asking him that question?
- Someone else? Did I have a fiancee before her?
- Well, when you were here I thought...I thought you and Jin...you know...
- Oh...
- M-Maybe I misinterpreted! It's not like I ever saw you two kiss on the rooftop or anything!
- You're a terrible liar
- Shit, sorry...
- That was many years a go, Kook. People change, they need other things, they want to go their own ways
- Right...Well, I knew it wasn't serious. He never said anything and you never told anybody!
Namjoon tenses. It was serious. More than serious. He did kind of left a fiancee back here. But Jungkook doesn't need to know that.
- But you still wanted me to marry Jin, didn't you?
- What can I say? You're like my parents hahaha
Truth is, Jungkook was simply curious. He was almost sure those two where madly in loved years a go. But he now knows that was not the case. And if Namjoon thinks this, Jin must feel the same, right? He probably moved on with his life as well.
After some more catching up, Jungkook goes back to his room. There, the boy he's been chasing for the last few months is half cleaning half looking around.
- You have a good taste in music, Jeon. You and Jimin could really get along
Taehyung moves his attention away from the CD's for a moment. Jungkook doesn't answer but it's clear he's trying to hide a smile. Taehyung has been into him for a while. Not only he finds him hot, but he looks like a really adorable boy.
He has a lot of talent from what he saw in the workshop they shared. He's polite, unlike most men he knew in his life. And he has one of the most beautiful sounding voices he ever heard. It's not the deepest feeling in the world, but it's definitely a crush and he would love to know him better.
Though maybe Jungkook wants to focus on something else. He looks for something in his pockets and then gives it to Tae. His eyes always looking down, like embarrassed. Taehyung sees his hand offering money and gets the point.
- Oh...I see you still have good taste
The stripper closes the door, plays some music, and starts working. Since there's no pole in Jungkook's room, he can't do much more than a strip tease and a lap dance. More than enough to make younger happy.
Jungkook can hardly process this. He could see him dance like this every night? Only for him? In his room? Did he die and went to heaven? Finally good luck is on his side. As soon as the song ends, Tae smiles
- You're really pretty, Kookie - He tries to sound sweet - But I have to go on with my other job now... I'll see you again tomorrow night?
- Y-Yes...That would be p-perfect
Only when he's alone again. Looking at the ceiling. With a very annoying boner in his pants. Jungkook realizes what he just said. He needs more money. And if his brother won't give him his share of what his father left them...maybe he can get a job. One with a man he trusts. Because Kim Namjoon would never disappoint him...
