Twenty Two

Inside the hotel room, Taehyung picks up his phone. He would ignore the call but he already did the last three times. So he tries to make it fast

- Kook, I swear to God if you're calling because I'm not home for a lap dance I'll cut off your di-

- Where are you? Where's Jin? How is he? Is he okay?

He sounds so desperate his words come out in a rush. With some effort Taehyung manages to understand.

- We're all together, don't worry. We came to a hotel, he didn't want to go back right now. And he's... honestly, he's throwing up in the bathroom and Jimin is taking care of him meanwhile. But don't worry, we'll-

- Give me the address, I'm on my way

Surprised of the way the call went, he smiles. He sends him their location and faster than he expected he hears him knock on the door. The money Jungkook was gonna spend on Tae tonight was now in the hands of the taxi driver that got him there crossing some red lights on the way. And Tae opens the door

- Where's Ji...Why are you on your underwear?

- Well, before throwing up in the toilet he did it on our clothes

- Our?

There's no need to answer. Jungkook enters the room and as soon as he opens the bathroom door his eyes go wide. There, both Jimin and Jin are also wearing nothing but their boxers. And Jimin is carefully trying to get Jin's off

- What are you doing?! Get off of him!

He pulls Jimin away from his friend who's just mumbling Namjoon's name.

- He's too wasted, he needs a cold shower. It'll be good for him, Jungkook - He sees the younger doubt - Believe me, I know how to deal with drunk people

- F-Fine. But I'll do it. You two stay outside. I'll call you if I need anything

The two friends agree and walk back to the room when Jimin's phone rings. He takes the call and after a minute hangs up.

- Who was that?

- Yoongi

- Oh, how are things over there?

- He said he didn't give us permission to leave and to come back and take Jin home

- I don't need his permission. I was hired by Jin. And I'm staying

- I don't know, Tae...he sounded different

Taehyung is almost shocked Jimin looks this worried over Yoongi's tone of voice. People like him already hurt his best friend before. And he really hopes to be wrong.

- You can go back if you're worried, Minnie. Just...take care okay?

- Thanks Tae

- Let me know when you get there!

- Will do! And call me if you need me back here!

After Jimin leaves the room, Tae deals with half hour of complete silence. Only then, Jungkook walks out carrying Jin on his back. Thank God the young boy is so strong because Tae would have to drag him around the floor if he was alone.

He helps him and at the end Jin takes over the only bed there is in the room. Tae makes sure that he's not facing up and Jin lets the other boys move him around. He's almost blacked out at this point. And only seconds later he falls asleep.

However, the two boys are not tired. At least not physically. Jungkook wants to stay alert in case Jin wakes up and Tae wants to be there for both of them. So before going to the little couch where they'll have to try to sleep together, they walk out to the little balcony and talk in a whisper.

- I didn't think you would come

- Why not?

- Well, you don't usually leave your room. I thought you were just gonna text or have a short phone call

- Jin...He and Namjoon pretty much raised me. Since Yoongi was always going working with my dad doing boring shit I hated...they were the ones that stayed by my side.

- I see...You must really love them

- Jin? Don't tell him I said it but...I adore him. He never let me down. Ever. He never insulted me or made me feel small in any way. But Namjoon...he left our life years a go. And today, when I needed to hear his side of the story...he just said I was too young and to go upstairs. I...I want to hate him so much

- Men can be dicks sometimes

- Thanks, that makes me feel better about myself

- Hahaha hey, I can be a dick too!

- And what about you? Who raised you?

- I guess...I did it on my own. I never depended on anyone which made me feel free in many ways. I never asked anyone to stay by my side which means no one has to stay if they don't want to! And usually...they don't...Except for Jimin, of course

- I'd stay. I mean, I've never felt bad being by your side. So I'd stay.

Taehyung can't help to feel shocked. He wanted to have a conversation like this with him for so long. And now that it's happening he doesn't know how to react. He just feels so good. His cheeks glow red just thinking about those words and he has to look away for the other not to notice.

- W-Well, I won't complain if you do, Kook

In his head, that's the closest to a confession he ever got. But Jungkook only yawns and takes his hand. They share a last look and get up so they can go to the couch. It's uncomfortable and definitely one of them may wake up on the floor tomorrow. But right now, they're okay. Because they're together, hugging and sleeping in each other's arms. Just like they would love to sleep for the rest of their nights.
