Jungkook gets in a taxi feeling exhausted. He read his brother's text when the auditions for the new dance teacher were about to start. He left one of his colleagues in charge and left immediately towards Busan's University. But it was too late. There was no one there. Taehyung was gone once more. And now he's on his way back, looking out the window. If it wasn't for the rain he would've walked. How can the universe be so unfair to him? He tries to think of the positive side of things. He now knows Taehyung is in Seoul. Once he makes sure everything is okay back at his job, he'll go out to look for him. Even if he has to spend the whole night without sleeping. Questions are all he has. Where is he? How is he? How does he look now? How is it that Yoongi met him before he did?!
As soon as he arrives, his friend welcomes him with a smile. He's been working on socializing better and he managed to befriend one of the dance teachers. Kim Yugyeom, the boy he left in charge, waits for him.
- Everything okay? Did your brother have a relapse or something?
- No, he's okay. It was just...I thought I was gonna see him again
- I'm guessing that didn't happen...
Jungkook sighs and turns off some lights. He takes out the keys so he can close the place and leave. However, he stops when he hears a soft melody coming from one of the dance rooms
- Is someone staying extra time? I thought they'd be all gone by now
- Oh, right! The new pole dance teacher is there! He's amazing Kook! And he has years of experience! He asked me to stay a little longer so he could practice a bit
- Is he gonna be here for long? I have things to do
- Now? What the hell are you gonna do at this hour?
- You know...
- Oh...Well, you can wait for a bit. If not, just ask him to leave!
Jungkook can't help to feel upset. He doesn't want to stay any longer. Not tonight. Yugyeom leaves first and Jungkook simply waits. Ten minutes. Twenty. Thirty. He starts to get anxious. He knows it's not the best way of meeting a new teacher if he just kicks him out. But he has no choice. He'll just kindly ask him to leave.
As he opens the door, a familiar songs is playing. It's the first song he danced with Tae. A nostalgic feeling takes over him and he can't help to feel better than before. This is exactly why he has to go. He has to find the boy that can make a simple song bring up a precious memory.
But maybe he doesn't need to go too far. Because as the song ends, the two young boys face each other. The time stops for them. There's only silence and they just stare without saying a word. As always, Taehyung is the first one to react.
He doesn't talk. He simply walks past him ready to leave Jungkook behind. He would love to disappear right now. But holding his wrist, the younger stops him. Tae really thought he could get over him someday. But now the simple touch of his hand is enough to make his skin burn.
The former stripper tries not to cry. He doesn't want to know what comes next. Whatever it is he doesn't feel ready. He wants to ignore the fact that they're looking for different things. He wants to turn around and kiss him.
Pulling him closer, Kook faces him one more time. And there, he finally allows himself to break a part. He hugs him tight and cries in his arms. Taehyung doesn't know what to say. He wasn't expecting this.
- I m-missed you...I missed you s-so fucking much, Tae
- Kookie I... I'm sorry. I just needed some time. And I still do...But of course I miss you too. You have no idea how much
