Yoongi checks himself on the car's mirror. His baggy eyes are darker each day. However, the lack of sleep is not what makes him feel this tired. People around him do. And not only at work where apparently he's the only one that can do things right. His little brother keeps disrespecting him ever since those strippers entered the house. Unlike weeks a go when he simply stayed quiet and looking down, Jungkook is now more defensive than ever.
At least he's happy to know the young boy is finally working somewhere. What will his life be like if not? Yoongi doesn't even want to think about it. What would've happen if would've ignored his father's advice? If he would've... followed his stupid dream...
Ridiculous. That Yoongi is dead. Him and everything he represents. There's only one part of his past he can't deny to miss. Him. The boy he dreams about every now and then. Yoongi wonders what happened with him. Did he follow his plan of being a dancer?
He shakes the thought off. It's not important. Why does he keep asking himself questions he has no answer to? It's stupid. He should just accept he'll never see him again. Or that's what he thinks. Ignoring completely the fact that the boy lives now in his house.
He enters home knowing full well he won't be able to rest. Not when Namjoon's fiancee is finally here with them. Actually, the first thing he sees is the girl talking in English to Jimin and the stripper pretending to understand.
- It was more than I expected, you're incredible!
- Uh, incredible, yeah!
Yoongi chuckles. He stays there a minute hearing her talk while Jimin only repeats the last word and adds a "yeah" at the end. This boy could be getting insulted and wouldn't realize. Of course, eventually he has to intervene. After all, he wants to meet her.
- Hyerin, right? A pleasure to meet you finally
- You must be Yoongi. Namjoon told me a lot about you
- Only good things, I hope
- Hahaha of course!
The conversation with her is as boring as the ones he has at work. That woman talks only about business and money as soon as she ends her introduction. And Jimin takes no time in interrupting.
- I didn't know you could speak other languages
- I work with people all around the world, Jimin
- You could get a translator
- And risk myself to get mistranslated? Don't be ridiculous
- You really don't trust others doing their job correctly
- I learned that from experience. Besides, English is important. You should learn it someday, Jimin
- No, thanks. My beauty can surpass any language barrier
Yoongi rolls his eyes. But he's not annoyed. If anything, he finds him entertaining. Not that he will admit it, of course. His conversation with Jimin stops when Namjoon comes closer.
- Happy to meet her, finally?
- She's...nice. - He avoids the word 'boring' - I'm guessing she's staying here until the wedding
- I promise we'll be gone right after it
- Hey, not problems bro. I love having my best friends here again! You, me, Hobi, just like the old days!
Hearing someone clear his throat makes him turn. There's Jin looking completely sad and drinking some wine. Yoongi notices his friend staring at the floor and wonders if maybe he drank too much.
