After school, Nate and I follow Julie to her car.

"So guys, I went through all my clothes yesterday but I couldn't find anything to wear for my date tommorow. Maybe I need to go shopping, I should probably go shop..." Julie rambles.

"No one's going shopping. You have enough clothes to cloth hundreds of people. You should probably think about giving some out not adding a whole new bunch." I wasn't kidding. She had a huge walk-in closet attached to her room where she had dozens of clothes.

If I had as much clothes as her, I'd probably be waddling in clothes on the floor of my bedroom. Not that my room was small, hers was just three times larger.

"But why....?" She whined loudly "everything was just wrong, it was either too small or too big, too long or too short, too bright or too d...".

Nate puts his hand over her mouth to cut short her rambles and he chuckled. Julie sends him a glare.

I put my hands on her shoulder "I love you Julie, but you need to shut up right now before you start panicking for no reason."

She puts her hands on both sides of her hip with a frown and still manages to look adorable "you guys aren't helping you know?".

"Don't worry. I'll come by your place to help you get ready, ok?".

"Are you sure?" Julie asks.

"Uhuh, it's not like I have any plans."

"Oh! thank you."

"I'll also come as well, where's my thanks?" Nate comments.

"You'll have no thanks cause you won't be of any help. You don't have a clue about dresses or makeup or even hair!". Julie mocks with a teasing grin.

I hold Nate's wrist with one hand and pat his arm with my other hand "he'll be there for moral support," I snicker.

"Besides, we can come earlier and binge watch some movies before it's time for you to get ready. It's been a while since we had one of those," I add.

"Then it's settled" Julie says with a satisfied grin as she unlocks her car door "come on guys, get in."

She gives Nate a pointed look "except you're going on another walk?".

His ears tint red and we laugh.

Piling into the car, she slowly reverses the car and we pull out of school.

On Saturday morning, I take my time to really sleep in cause I didn't have to get up early. Mom had poked her head through my bedroom door some minutes ago to tell me they were off to work.

I had mumbled a "hmm" in response.

After some time, I get up, take my bath and pick out my clothes. My choice was a dark blue t- shirt and black jeans along with my dark blue lace shoes.

Sitting in front of my dressing mirror, I put my hair in a high ponytail and tie it into a bun. Then I apply a bit of powder and a pink tinted lipgloss. Turning my face both ways, I decided to reach up and bring out two strands of hair near my forehead to frame my face.

Satisfied with my look, I move out of my bedroom and close the door. I head to the kitchen and see a note pasted on the fridge. I pull it out and read,

Hey, I left some food in the fridge. Warm it up and eat. Don't stay out too late. Love ya.
                                       -- mom.

Scrunching up the note, I properly dispose it in the waste bin. I had told her I'd be going out today. I open the fridge and following mom's order, I quickly eat. I put my phone in my pocket and also stuff some dollar bills in case I need to buy something.
