~This is a Neko Casey AU because reasons. Just thought it'd be cute. Hope you all enjoy. By the way, they're a lot younger in this one as well - ages 5 and 7.~
Casey wakes with a throbbing headache on cold, hard cement. He moves his hand - stained lightly in red - to his head, slowly and cautiously trying to sit up. However, the massive pain prevents him to do so, and lays back down with his hand under his right cheek and temple. "He was right over here! I swear it!" he hears in the near distance. He hears small, soft footsteps across the cold cement. "Raph, you shouldn't even have been here! We're still not supposed to be out here!" another voice calls, the voices and footsteps coming closer in his direction. Both voices make the owners of them at an estimate of two years younger than him. His eyes slam shut, afraid of what the two people would do if they found him. "It doesn't matter! I'm not just leaving him-" the first voice was cut off by a surprised gasp. The footsteps are softer, slow and careful. "Raph, don't get near it!" the second voice says, the footsteps being forced back, as if they were put in rewind. "Shut up, Leo - and he's not an it!" the first voice hisses, the footsteps returning. Unexpectedly, after about three seconds or so, a hand was placed on his shoulder. He jumped a little, holding back a yelp. The hand jolted away. "Did you see that?! He moved!" the first voice - Raph - spoke. "Yeah, yeah, okay," the second voice, Leo, snapped sarcastically, "can we go back now before anybody notices were gone?" No response was made. The same hand was placed in the same spot. This time, he didn't jump. Although, he shuddered lightly when a small toe kicked him while getting jumped over so that - whoever it was - could see his face.
A light shade of pink dusts his cheeks when his wrist is grabbed, two small fingers being placed below his palm for a pulse. "His heart is still beating..." he says aloud. The hand is placed under is nose to check for a breath. "...and he's still breathing!" he continues happily. Leo lets out a groan of annoyance. "Great," he says, "can we leave now?" "Not yet!" Raph hisses. All of a sudden, he's pulled into a small, smooth chest, followed by sitting on two legs, crossed Indian-style. Two warm, small, comforting fingers ran through his short black hair comfortingly. "Hey," Raph says to him soothingly, "are you awake?" Leo scoffs in the background. "Idiot," he mumbles, "of course he's not awake!" "Shush!" Raph hisses. "Don't be shy," he coos, "we won't hurt you." Without realizing it, he had accidentally put a hand on one of his gashes, a pretty big one, on his upper arm. He lets out a short hiss of pain, having the hand quickly removed. "Sorry!" he says quickly. Casey slowly opens his eyes, finally giving in to trust these two strangers, which may just end up as one of the biggest mistakes of his life. However, when his eyes are fully open, he makes no regrets to his decision.
Chestnut met vibrant green eyes, followed by the most gorgeous smile he's ever seen in his life. Not only that, but he was, in a way, just like him: they're both freaks. A huge mutated turtle - big compared to normal, anyways - and a boy with cat ears and a tail. He turns his head, finding the second presence who was heard before. His was like the other one, from what he could see the only difference was eye color and reaction towards him. His warrior blue eyes were wide with worry, concern, and possibly fear. He was gently placed back down onto the solid cold surface he laid on just moments ago. The turtle stood up from his sitting position, offering a hand to Casey to help him stand up. Hesitantly, he took it, pulling himself up with the help of the small mutant child. He kept his bright smile plastered on his face. "I'm Raphael," the turtle says, his hand on his plastron, "but you can just call me Raph. Everyone else does." He points his green index finger to the one behind him. "That's my brother, Leonardo," he says, putting his hand down. "Everyone calls him Leo." He waves sheepishly at the Neko, as he shyly waves back. He turns his attention back to Raph, now noticing that the turtle is just about an inch or so shorter.
"Hey, uh, we don't think it's a very good idea for you to be staying out here like this," Leo says, starting to notice the gashes, bruises, and other marks on him, his brother as well. "Would you like to come with us?" Raph finishes for his brother. His heart stopped. He isn't sure what to do. He doesn't know what to say. In some ways it was to say it was safer not to go with them. It was better than being caught again, he thought. "Okay."
~I'm sorry guys. I'm really sorry. I know I haven't updated in a while, and I'm sorry. There will be a part two to this, and then I'll post the other three I have working on, and then I'm afraid I'll end it there. I'm sorry everyone, but I just don't have anymore ideas for it. I don't know how to continue it after these. I won't take it down, I'll just end it. I wish I had better news for you all after nor posting in so long, but this is what I have. I'm so sorry. I love all of you!~
