Loki's POV
We got settled and the aligator was placed in a paddling pool. "So, after I vanquished Captain America and Iron Man, I claimed my prize, all six Infinity Stones." The boastful Loki explained. The aligator growled in distain. "That's alligator for growling and saying "liar" at the same time." The older one muttered. "At least my nexus event wasn't eating the wrong neighbor's cat." The Boastful one quipped. The aligator snarled and snapped his jaws, before running toward the Loki. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, Hey, hey, hey." We said, in attempt to calm them down.
We pulled them apart, and got comfy on the chairs again. "Tell them your story, Loki." The Child spoke up. "Me? Nobody wants to hear about that." He dismissed. "I would, actually. Um... It's just I've been wondering, because I'm... Well, we're supposed to die, right? Thanos kills us after Ragnarok." I explained. "Thanos? In my timeline, everything proceeded correctly, my entire life, until Thanos attacked our ship." The older Loki explained. "So, you didn't try to stab him?" I asked. "Certainly not." He chuckled. "Take no offense, my friends, but blades are worthless in the face of a Loki sorcery. They stunt our magical potential." He informed. "But they look awesome." Boastful Loki said. "Oh, yes..." The older Loki started, before getting interuppted by a banging on the door.
"Hello?! Is anybody in there? I need cover urgently, My magic can't open it. Please?" A voice said desperately. The older Loki waved his hand, and the door opened. A figure climbed down, and I recognised the hair immediatley. I stood up and watched her. "Thank you so much, I think I would've died if you didn't do that." She said, dusting herself off. "Freyja?" I asked, for confirmation. She froze, then turned around slowly. "Loki?" She said, hesitantly. "Oh my god!" She cried, running up to me and embracing me in a tight hug. "It's really you!" She smiled. Somebody cleared their throat, and interrupted our reunion. "Would you mind explaining what exactly is happening here?" The older Loki questioned. "Ah, yes. Gentlemen, this is Freyja Sigurddottir." I said. "Freyja, this is Classic Loki, Boastful Loki, Kid Loki and Aligator Loki." I explained. Her jaw dropped and I knew why. "You're kidding!" She cried, advancing toward the aligator variant. She knelt down, and stroked the scaly back of the variant. He made what I could only describe as 'happy aligator noises.' She smiled up at me. "See, I told you there could be an animal variant of yourself." She grinned.
Classic Loki stepped forward, "I'm sorry to break this up, but on a serious note, How did you get here?" He asked, I furrowed my brow and wondered also. "After Renslayer pruned you," She said, nodding toward me, "Sylvie and I made an agreement with her. We would spare her life, if she could help us get to whoever is in charge. We trusted her for a moment, but she had called the guards on us. Sylvie ran and took cover, however, I wasn't as quick. One of the guards pruned me and I landed a few miles back. I was running away from that beast in the sky, but I fell into a ditch. I then found myself surrounded by men in green, and a Loki Variant that was basically a spitting image of my Loki. Anyway, he threatened to enslave me, so I teleported away, I ran for the majority of it, but then I stumbled across your hatch in the ground. Now we're here." Freyja explained. "You sound like you need a drink. Please, make yourself at home." Kid Loki offered. "Thank you." She smiled. "Loki here, was just about to tell us about his nexus event." Boastful Loki added.
We all sat in our original places, and Freyja sat next to me. "I cast a projection of myself so real, even the Mad Titan believed it. Then hid as inanimate debris. After I faked my death, I simply drifted in space. Away from Thor, away from everything. Thought about the universe and my place in it, and it occurred to me that everywhere I went, only pain followed. So I removed myself from the equation, landed on a remote planet and stayed there in isolation, in solitude for a long, long time." He explained, taking a large swing from his drink. "How did the TVA find you?" Freyja asked. "I got lonely." He confessed. After a small pause, he chuckled. "To tell you the truth, I missed my brother, and I wondered if he missed me, if anybody else did. But as soon as I took my first steps to getting off the planet, the TVA arrived. Because we, my friends, have but one part to play, the God of Outcasts. Nothing more." The older Loki finished.
"So tell us Freyja. How did the TVA get you? In all of our stories, she managed to keep to the timeline." The Boastful one asked. Then it occured to me, I didn't know either. I just knew that she died. "Oh I'm sure you don't want to know. It's not as spectacular as yours." She said coyly. "Please, we're all listening." The older Loki encouraged. "Okay, if you really want to hear." She started. "The Dark Elves had invaded Asgard and killed Frigga, so naturally, Odin blocked the Bifrost so noone could leave or enter. Thor and I had hatched a plan to break Loki out of his cell as he was the only one who knew another way out. The plan was successful and we managed to get to Svartalfheim and find the elves. However, we had underestimated how many there would be. It was just Thor, Loki and I against a small army of elves. Thor took on the brute, whilst Loki and I fought off the smaller ones. I decided to leave Loki with Thor's girlfriend and help Thor. I killed the creature, but before it died, it killed me in return. The TVA arrived before I took my last breath and that was that. When I arrived at the TVA, I was told that Loki was meant to have faked his death and I should have lived." She finished, I noticed there was something she wasn't telling me. I looked into her head and saw a memory.
"You'll be okay." She said with a weak smile, looking up at me. "I won't be okay. Freyja, please. Stay with me. I...I...I love you okay! That's why you need to stay." I pleaded desperately. She let out a pained noise. "Oh Loki. I've always loved you. She managed to get out.
I cannot stay here, otherwise I'll lose it. I thought to myself. "I'm going." I decided, standing up. "Going where? There's nowhere to go." Freyja asked. "Out of this place, out of The Void, back to the TVA. We're as good at escaping as we are at surviving. That gives me a decent chance." I announced. "You won't do either, you'll be brutally murdered." Freyja argued. "Well, so be it. That was my destiny to begin with." I said, carelessly. "You're different. Why?" The child variant asked. "No, I'm not, you see? I'm the same, really. I'm the same as all of you." I replied. "Loki, please, you need to have a clear head on all of this." Freyja reasoned. "But what about Sylvie?" I asked her, before turning to the others. "Have any of you met a woman Variant of us?" I asked. "Sounds terrifying." The older one shuddered. "Oh, she is. But that's kind of what's great about her. She's different. She's not trying to take over the TVA, she's trying to take it down. And she needs me and Freyja. Now, you said Alioth is what keeps us here. You said it's a living thing. You said it's a shark. Well, if it lives, it dies. So I'm gonna kill the shark. I'm gonna kill Alioth, and I could use all the help I can get." I said boldly. "Okay, fine." Freyja said, standing next to me. However, the others just burst into laughter. Freyja led us away, and we started climbing the ladder out. "Monsters." I mumbled.
We opened, the hatch and was greeted by a group of people surrounding the exit. "Ah, my pet, we meet again." The leader said, eyeing up Freyja. He looked down to me. "Ah, hello, which one of us are you?"
