Ethan did not say a word as I entered his car when he was picking me up for school. Things were awkward between us. I think he was acting like he upset about me leaving him to deal with the cop yesterday. I knew he wasn't really upset because he smirked when he thought I wasn't looking.

I do not get why he would be mad even if it was just pretend when we both knew I did not do well with embarrassing situations like yesterday. I did not really to talk or give him the satisfaction of saying sorry.

"Did you hear me? Jeremy?!" Sandy exclaimed shaking me harshly.

I wasn't really playing attention to anything she was saying but I was watching her lips open and close the words were just inaudible. This was not because of my situation with Ethan though it was the text I got on my phone a minute ago.

*Hello Jeremy, it's your parents. We gave you at least a day and a half to process this but we really do need to talk, Jeremy. Please contact us...we should be back at Italy in a few days and we were hoping you'd come. Love your parents.* The text read.

Love your parents? Who even ends a text like that? It's something you would expect in a Gmail or an actual letter written on paper, if those things still exist.

"I need Noah." I whispered getting up.

I did not even know where he was but I needed him. He was the only one who could comfort me. He was the only one who understood.

I heard Sandy call after me but I was not in the mood to explain. Not yet. As soon as I left the cafeteria I realised I had no idea where Noah was. In fact wasn't he supposed to be in the cafeteria by now? We were already like 10 minutes on the lunch break.

I gave up the search for Noah after five minutes of no luck and decided to go panic in the restroom. But before I got there I bumped into a brick wall last time I checked there was no wall in the middle of the hallway.

When I looked up I was surprised to see it was not a wall but a person. Surprisingly. The last person I wanted to see at the moment. Rick. When he opened his mouth to talk I raised a hand to stop him.

"Just...hush...I don't have time for this." I mumbled walking past him.

If I were to be honest, I think he was shocked I did something so...ballsy then again I really was not in the mood to deal with him. I got to the restroom and took out my phone. It's been buzzing non-stop. Probably Sandy. I was right it was Sandy. She left multiple texts asking where I was or if I was okay.

After scrolling her texts I got one from Noah. I was about to text him to come to the restroom when the door opened. I probably should have locked it. I looked up to see who this rude jerk was...of course, it had to be my boyfriend. Ethan.

"What happened?" He asked kneeling down so we could be on the same level since I was sitting on the floor.

How did he find me?

"Rick told me you were here and he said you weren't looking good so I repeat, what happened? Did someone hurt you? Who is that bastard?..."

"Finally!! Oh thank God. I was so worried, what happened?" Noah said running in the bathroom.

I took out my phone and showed them the text I got from my parents. Noah sighed looking at me and Ethan looked at me with pity. I really hated it when people looked at me with pity.

"Just talk to them." Noah said helping me up.

"But William...they left me." I whispered.

"And they obviously regret it. Noah is right just talk to them and ask them the questions you've been puzzled about all these years... it'll give you closure." Ethan added.
